Founder’s Message With the grace of Allah and the wisdom of His Majesty's government, the Oman Cancer Association (OCA) has witnessed 11 Octobers wa alhumd lillah, and in this issue of our newsletter we are pleased to glance over some of the key achievements of this particular October and announce the exciting projects the Association is embarking on for the weeks and months ahead! I am a prime example of someone who has lived the message we strive to impart at OCA: regular examination and early diagnosis saves lives! During my annual screening in April 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 invasive breast cancer. After nearly 15 years cancer free, naturally, I was surprised by the diagnosis but it really was a reminder of the importance of our awareness efforts and the necessity for vigilance when it comes to cancer follow-up. As an empowered cancer survivor, and thanks to the expertise of my doctors at the Royal Hospital, we were able to detect this invasive cancer at its earliest, and therefore curable, stage. There is no cookie-cutter approach to cancer treatment, and it is important that all options currently available are explored. I implore our members to arm themselves with the information they need to be proactive in their treatment; being part of the process gives a sense of control, however slight, that we cannot ignore. Regular screening is an effective mechanism to mitigate this disease and its devastating emotional as well as socio-economic effects. OCA’s primary objective remains advocacy work; during 2013 we endeavoured to reach out to a wider audience through our Coffee for Cancer initiative (Page 4). The success of this pilot awareness initiative has firmly placed it as another annual event on our calendar, and we look forward to spreading our message again next year inshaAllah via this means to schools and corporations throughout Oman.

OTHER NEWS! Launch of the new OCA website and social media pages We launched our new social media accounts in early September and KMA generously designed a mobile website for OCA as well which generated a lot of buzz this October! Through our facebook page we invited the public to take part in a “slogan competition� and we enjoyed reviewing some great submissions! Maryam Al Balushi took the 1st prize as her submission included the design that appeared on our 10th Annual Walkathon T-shirts. Well done Maryam! We encourage you to visit our new pages, leave us a message with questions or comments, and we will strive to respond promptly! Note: OCA has committed to being more active through these channels; to this end we are currently looking for someone to manage these accounts. Our headquarters experienced a terrible fire this past September, but we rallied together and despite the challenges including lost inventory and limited equipment to achieve our objectives, we dedicated ourselves to carrying out our scheduled programs, and with the help and support of sponsors and excellent volunteers we are proud to have been able to host our biggest awareness and fundraising event: the 10th Annual Walkathon (Page 7-8) at Qurum Natural Park under the theme "Each Step Can Save A Life". The Walkathon is something we always look forward to and we are thankful to all the individual and corporate sponsors who continue to support our efforts, making them bigger and better each year. I am pleased to announce that OCA shall be shifting headquarters effective early next year. We take this move as an opportunity to officially launch our new logo which came about with our change of name last year from the National Association for Cancer Awareness, to the Oman Cancer Association. We are also gratified by the positive response to the launch of our new social media pages. Further, while vital records were lost in the fire, we had already begun a revamp of our membership database (Page 5) and are glad to use this opportunity to refresh our records in this regard. We have contacted many of you already and this will be an ongoing effort in the months ahead. The drive that witnessed the birth of our advocacy mission 11 years ago, while constant, has been revitalized yet again by my recent personal experience. OCA shall continue to spread awareness about cancer and build on the strides made with our Mobile Mammography Unit (Page 5), Dar Al Hanan (Page 6), the first Palliative Care Conference hosted in Oman this year and our other milestone initiatives. I ask you all to join hands with the Oman Cancer Association to give strength to those going through this devastating illness and to donate towards research that will help save lives. Up to 10% of breast cancers are associated with pain but it is rarely the ONLY symptom for breast cancer. Breast pain in the absence of other abnormality is unlikely due to breast cancer.
PAIN IS NOT AN ACCURATE INDICATOR
Breast cancer occurs when abnormal cell within the breast tissue grow in an uncontrolled manner regardless of the volume of the gland.
SIZE DOES NOT MATTER

80% of DCIS present as “micro-calcifications” on mammograms even before a lump can be felt. Treatment at this stage offers the only chance of a complete cure. Treatment is also less complicated without the need for chemotherapy.
BREAST CANCER IS TREATABLE
40 TO 49 YEARLY
A normal mammogram does NOT safeguard against future development of breast cancer. As risk of breast cancer increases with age, you should go for REGULAR mammogram screenings.
ONE NORMAL MAMMOGRAM IS NOT ENOUGH
A mammogram targets healthy women (40-69 years) with no symptoms. However, it does not prevent the occurrence of breast cancer but aims to detect DCIS an early stage cancers for prompt treatment. Studies involving 430,000 screened women 50 years or older showed an overall 25% reduction in cancer-related deaths compared to a nonscreened population.

This process takes a long time. A biopsy or a surgical procedure cannot cause cancer to spread overnight.
Metastases can be silent or clinically occult. Process of metastasis involves cancer cells acquiring ability to invade established barriers, escape immune system, implant at target sites and grow.
A BIOPSY DOES NOT CAUSE CANCER TO SPREAD
Mammograms can miss 10-17% of breast cancers. Furthermore, Asian women have denser breasts on mammograms. Half of the aggressive forms of breast cancer present as self-detected breast lumps in between screening mammograms.

IRON MAN Mr. Alex O’Hanlon, a former student at the British School Muscat (BSM) and his father took part in the IRONMAN half triathlon in Germany this year. A regular supporter of OCA since his school days at BSM, where he encouraged peers to volunteer and came up with creative ways to raise funds for cancer, this time Alex swam 1.9km, cycled 90km, and ran 21km in the name of cancer awareness. He’s at it again!
We invited them to be creative in raising funds, and it proved to be an entertaining experience! Some companies held creative dance performances and interactive sessions to promote early detection, and raise awareness about living a healthy lifestyle. OCA campaigns at schools! Through education we aim to break down the taboos surrounding this disease. OCA has enjoyed the support of Oman’s youth since inception, and Hon. Yuthar visits the schools each year to raise awareness, answer questions, and lend an ear or shoulder. This year OCA posed a challenge to all schools: “Who can come up with the most creative ways to raise awareness and funds at the same time?” Submissions will be judged by a panel of OCA members and the winning school announced later this year. Apex Publications have generously agreed to feature the winning school as well.

Each step can change a life! The Oman Cancer Association (OCA) organized and hosted its 10th Annual Walkathon on the 29th of October 2013 at the Qurum Natural Park which began at 4pm and which witnessed an amazing turn-out of over 5,000 participants. Pre-registration was encouraged and facilitated by OCA tables set-up at different malls in the weeks leading up to the event, where information about the walkathon was shared as well as themed t-shirts distributed to the walkers as well as being on sale to the general public. Registration was available on hand for those who couldn't pre-register. The Guest of Honour was H.E. Dr. Sayyid Sultan Ya’rub Al Busaidi, the Advisor for Health Affairs, Ministry of Health, who said a few words at the opening of the event. Hon. Yuthar Al Rawahy, Founder and Chairperson of

OCA noted that: " the pur pose of the walk athon is to remember those who have lost the fight with cancer, celebrate those who have survived, and encourage those still in the battle." Every year the participants walk under a different theme, usually catchy and memorable: this year it was "Each Step Can Change a Life". A highlight of the afternoon was the raffle draw at the end of the 2km walkathon which saw the give-away of prizes like a weekend stay at the Grand Hyatt Muscat, Meal vouchers from the Grand Hyatt and City Seasons Hotels, Tickets from the Royal Opera House, Dolphin watching from Sidab Tours, Gym Memberships from Horizon Fitness & Flex Fitness, and much more. It was an atmosphere for all ages, with children and elderly walkers interacting and enjoying the entertainment, food and drinks that were available. The Royal Oman Police Bagpipe band performed at the onset of the event and Hi-FM wrapped up the end with an amazing array of all the latest songs that kept the participants entertained throughout the evening. Our MMU was available to registrants, with over 20 women screened on the day. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the participants who have made this event possible, our excellent volunteers, especially this year’s walkathon committee (Ali Abdulhussain, Wafa Al Mandhari and Saniya Al Kharusi). And a big thank you to all our sponsors without whom this event would not have been possible especially our Gold sponsors PDO, MHD and Salalah Methanol.

اﻟــﺮﺟـﻞ اﻟـﺤـﺪﻳــﺪي اﻟﻤﺴﺘﺮ أﻟﻴﻜﺲ أو ﻫﺎﻧﻴﻮن ،درس ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ اﻟﺒﺮﻳﻄﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻣﺴﻘﻂ ،وﻗﺪ ﺷﺎرك ﻫﻮ واﻟﺪه ﻓﻲ ﻧﺼﻒ اﻟﻤﺒﺎراة اﻟﺜﻼﺛﻴﺔ "اﻟﺮﺟﻞ اﻟﺤﺪﻳﺪي" ﻓﻲ أﻟﻤﺎﻧﻴﺎ ﻫﺬا اﻟﻌﺎم. وﻫﻮ داﻋﻢ ﻣﻨﺘﻈﻢ ﻟﻠﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ اﻟﻌﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن ﻣﻨﺬ أﻳﺎم دراﺳﺘﻪ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ اﻟﺒﺮﻳﻄﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﺑﻤﺴﻘﻂ ،ﺣﻴﺚ ﻛﺎن ﻳﺸﺠﻊ زﻣﻼءه ﻟﻠﺘﺒﺮع وﻛﺎن داﺋﻤﺎ ﻳﺒﺘﻜﺮ ﻃﺮق ﺟﺪﻳﺪة ﻟﺠﻤﻊ اﻟﺘﺒﺮﻋﺎت ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن ،ﻓﻲ ﻫﺬه اﻟﻤﺮة ﻗﺎم أﻟﻴﻜﺲ ﺑﺎﻟﺴﺒﺎﺣﺔ ﻟﻤﺴﺎﻓﺔ 1.9 ﻛﻠﻢ ،ورﻛﺐ اﻟﺪراﺟﺔ ﻟﻤﺴﺎﻓﺔ 90ﻛﻠﻢ ،وﺟﺮى ﻣﺴﺎﻓﺔ 21ﻛﻠﻢ ﺑﺈﺳﻢ اﻟﺘﻮﻋﻴﺔ ﻋﻦ اﻟﺴﺮﻃﺎن .ﻧﺸﻜﺮك أﻟﻴﻜﺲ ﻟﺘﺒﺮﻋﻚ اﻟﺴﺨﻲ ﻓﻴﻤﺎ ﺗﺘﻄﻠﻊ اﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ اﻟﻌﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن إﻟﻰ ﻣﺒﺎدراﺗﻜﻢ اﻟﻼﺣﻘﺔ.
اﻟـﻘــﻬــﻮةﻟﻠـﺴــﺮﻃـــﺎن
ﻓﻲ ﺷﻬﺮ ﻳﻮﻧﻴﻮ اﻟﻤﺎﺿﻲ رﺣﺐ 750ﻣﻮﻇﻒ ﻣﻦ ﺛﻤﺎن ﺷﺮﻛﺎت ﺑﺎﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ اﻟﻌﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن ﻓﻲ ﻣﻜﺎﺗﺒﻬﻢ ﻟﺘﻘﺪﻳﻢ اªرﺷﺎدات ﺑﺎﻟﺘﻮﻋﻴﺔ ﻋﻦ اﻟﺴﺮﻃﺎن.
وﻗﺪ ﻗﺎم ﺑﻔﻌﻠﻬﺎ ﻣﺮة أﺧﺮى!

أﺧﺒﺎر اﺧﺮى! ا¤ﻋﻼن ﻋﻦ اﻟﻤﻮﻗﻊ ا¤ﻟﻜﺘﺮوﻧﻲ اﻟﺠﺪﻳﺪ وﻣﻮاﻗﻊ اﻟﺘﻮاﺻﻞ ا¤ﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻲ ﻟﻘﺪ ﻗﻤﻨﺎ ﺑﺈﻃﻼق اﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ ﻣﻮﻗﻊ اﻟﻌﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن و ا ﻟﺼﻔﺤﺎ ت اﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﺔ اﻟﺠﺪﻳﺪة ﻟﻠﻤﺸﺎرﻛﺎت وذﻟﻚ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻄﻠﻊ ﺳﺒﺘﻤﺒﺮ ٢٠١٣م وﻗﺎﻣﺖ KMA أﻳﻀﺎ ﺑﺘﺼﻤﻴﻢ ﻣﻮﻗﻊ ﻟﻠﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ ﻣﺘﺤﺮك اﻟﻌﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن اﻟﺸﺒﻜﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻌﻨﻜﺒﻮﺗﻴﺔ واﻟﺬي ﺟﺬب أﻋﺪاد ﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﺸﺎرﻛﻴﻦ ﻓﻲ ﺷﻬﺮ اﻛﺘﻮﺑﺮ اﻟﻤﺎﺿﻲ. ﻗﻤﻨﺎ ﺑﺪﻋﻮة اﻟﺠﻤﻬﻮر ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل ﺻﻔﺤﺘﻨﺎ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻔﻴﺲ ﺑﻮك ﻟﻠﻤﺸﺎرﻛﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻨﺎﻓﺴﺔ "ﺗﺼﻤﻴﻢ ﺷﻌﺎر" وﻗﺪ ﺣﺼﺮﻧﺎ ﺑﺴﻌﺎدة اﻟﻤﺸﺎرﻛﺎت اﻟﻌﺪﻳﺪة! وﻗﺪ ﻧﺎﻟﺖ ﻣﺮﻳﻢ اﻟﺒﻠﻮﺷﻴﺔ اﻟﺠﺎﺋﺰة اﻻوﻟﻰ ﺣﻴﺚ ﺗﻀﻤﻨﺖ ﻣﺸﺎرﻛﺘﻬﺎ اﻟﺘﺼﻤﻴﻢ اﻟﺬي ﻇﻬﺮ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻗﻤﺼﺎن ﺳﺒﺎﻗﻨﺎ اﻟﻌﺎﺷﺮ ﻟﻠﻤﺸﻲ .ﺷﻜﺮا ﻣﺮﻳﻢ .ﻧﺤﻦ ﻧﺪﻋﻮﻛﻢ ﻣﺠﺪدا ﻟﺰﻳﺎرة ﺻﻔﺤﺘﻨﺎ اﻟﺠﺪﻳﺪة ،أﺗﺮك /أﺗﺮﻛﻲ ﻟﻨﺎ رﺳﺎﻟﻪ ﺑﺄﺳﺘﻔﺴﺎرﺗﻜﻢ أو ﺗﻌﻠﻴﻘﺎﺗﻜﻢ ،وﺳﻨﺮد ﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ ﻓﻲ أﻗﺮب وﻗﺖ ﻣﻤﻜﻦ. ﻣﻼﺣﻈﺔ :ﺗﻌﻬﺪت اﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ اﻟﻌﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن ﻟﻠﻌﻤﻞ ﺑﻜﻔﺎءة ﻋﺎﻟﻴﺔ ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل ﻫﺬه اﻟﻤﻮاﻗﻊ اﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﺔ .وﻟﺘﺤﻘﻴﻖ ذﻟﻚ ﻧﺤﻦ ﻓﻲ ﺣﺎﺟﺔ ﻣﺎﺳﺔ ﻟﺸﺨﺺ ﻳﻘﻮم ﺑﻤﺘﺎﺑﻌﺔ ﻫﺬه اﻟﻤﻮاﻗﻊ .إذا ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﻟﺪﻳﻜﻢ اﻟﺮﻏﺒﺔ ﻟﻠﺘﻄﻮع ﺑﺠﺰء ﻣﻦ وﻗﺘﻜﻢ اﻟﺮﺟﺎء اﻟﺘﻮاﺻﻞ ﻣﻌﻨﺎ!

رﺳﺎﻟﺔ ﻣﺆﺳﺴﺔ اﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ ﺑﺘﻮﻓﻴﻖ ﻣﻦ ا æﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ وﻣﻦ ﺛﻢ رﻋﺎﻳﺔ ﺣﻜﻮﻣﺔ ﺻﺎﺣﺐ اﻟﺠﻼﻟﺔ اﻟﺮﺷﻴﺪة ،ﺷﻬﺪت اﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ اﻟﻌﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن ﻳﻮم /١١اﻛﺘﻮﺑﺮ ،وﻓﻲ رﺳﺎﻟﺘﻨﺎ اﻻﺧﺒﺎرﻳﺔ ﻫﺬه ﻳﺴﺮﻧﺎ ان ﻧﻠﻘﻲ اﻟﻀﻮء ﻋﻠﻰ ﺑﻌﺾ اﻻﻧﺠﺎزات اﻟﺮﺋﻴﺴﻴﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺷﻬﺮ اﻛﺘﻮﺑﺮ ﺧﺎﺻﺔ ،وﻧﻌﻠﻦ ﻋﻦ اﻟﻤﺸﺮوﻋﺎت اﻟﻤﺬﻫﻠﺔ اﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻨﻮي اﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ اﻟﻘﻴﺎم ﺑﻬﺎ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﺪى اﻻﺳﺎﺑﻴﻊ واﻟﺸﻬﻮر اﻟﻘﺎدﻣﺔ. ﻟﺸﺨﺺ ﻋﺎش اﻟﺮﺳﺎﻟﺔ اﻟﺘﻲ ﻧﺴﻌﻰ اﻟﻰ إﻳﺼﺎﻟﻬﺎ ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل اﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ إﻧﻨﻲ ُأﻋﺪ ﻣﺜﺎﻻً ﺣﻴ ٍ اﻟﻌﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن .اﻟﻔﺤﺺ اﻟﻤﻨﺘﻈﻢ واﻟﺘﺸﺨﻴﺺ اﻟﻤﺒﻜﺮ ﻳﻨﻘﺬان اﻟﺤﻴﺎة .ﻓﺨﻼل اﻟﻔﺤﺺ اﻟﺴﻨﻮي ﻓﻲ إﺑﺮﻳﻞ ،٢٠١٣ﺗﻢ ﺗﺸﺨﻴﺺ اﺻﺎﺑﺘﻲ ﺑﺴﺮﻃﺎن اﻟﺜﺪي ﻓﻲ ﺑﺪاﻳﺘﻪ أي اﻟﻤﺮﺣﻠﺔ ا¨وﻟﻰ – ﺳﺮﻃﺎن اﻟﺜﺪي اﻟﻬﺠﻮﻣﻲ ،ﺑﻌﺪ ﻣﻀﻲ ١٥ﻋﺎﻣﺎ ﻣﻦ اﺻﺎﺑﺘﻲ ا¨ﺧﻴﺮة ﺑﺎﻟﺴﺮﻃﺎن ،وﻗﺪ دﻫﺸﺖ ﺑﻄﺒﻴﻌﺔ اﻟﺤﺎل ﻣﻦ ذﻟﻚ اﻟﺘﺸﺨﻴﺺ وﻟﻜﻨﻪ ﻛﺎن ﻓﻲ واﻗﻊ اﻟﺤﺎل ﺗﺬﻛﻴﺮ ﺑﺄﻫﻤﻴﺔ ﺟﻬﻮدﻧﺎ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺠﺎل اﻟﺘﻮﻋﻴﺔ وﺿﺮورة اﻟﻤﺘﺎﺑﻌﺔ اﻟﺪورﻳﺔ ﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﻳﺘﻌﻠﻖ ا¨ﻣﺮ ﺑﻤﺘﺎﺑﻌﺔ اﻟﺴﺮﻃﺎن – وأﻧﺎ ﻛﺤﺎﻟﺔ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺬﻳﻦ ﻧﺠﻮا ﻣﻦ اﻟﺴﺮﻃﺎن – واﻟﺸﻜﺮ ﺑﻌﺪ اﻟﻤﻮﻟﻰ ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ ﻟÍﻃﺒﺎء اﻟﺬﻳﻦ وﻗﻔﻮا ﻣﻌﻲ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﺴﺘﺸﻔﻰ اﻟﺴﻠﻄﺎﻧﻲ ،ﻓﻘﺪ اﺳﺘﻄﻌﻨﺎ اﻛﺘﺸﺎف ذﻟﻚ اﻟﺴﺮﻃﺎن اﻟﻬﺠﻮﻣﻲ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺮاﺣﻠﻪ اﻟﻤﺒﻜﺮة وﻛﺎن ذﻟﻚ ﻣﻦ أﺳﺒﺎب اﻟﺸﻔﺎء .ﻻ ﺗﻮﺟﺪ وﺳﻴﻠﺔ ﻓﻮرﻳﺔ ﻟﻌﻼج اﻟﺴﺮﻃﺎن .وﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﻬﻢ اﻟﻠﺠﻮء ﻟﺠﻤﻴﻊ اﻟﺨﻴﺎرات اﻟﻤﺘﻮﻓﺮة ﺣﺎﻟﻴ . إﻧﻲ أوﺻﻲ أﻋﻀﺎء اﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ ﺑﺄن ﻳﺘﺴﻠﺤﻮا ﺑﺎﻟﻤﻌﻠﻮﻣﺎت اﻟﻀﺮورﻳﺔ اﻟﺘﻲ ﻳﺤﺘﺎﺟﻮن إﻟﻴﻬﺎ ﻟﻴﻜﻮﻧﻮا ﺟﺰء ﻻ ﻳﺘﺠﺰء ﻣﻦ ﻗﺮارات ﻋﻼﺟﻬﻢ ،ﻓﻌﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﺗﻜﻮن ﺟﺰءأ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻌﻤﻠﻴﺔ ﻓﺎن ذﻟﻚ ﻳﻌﻄﻲ اﻟﺸﻌﻮر ﺑﺎﻟﺴﻴﻄﺮة ،ﻓﻤﻬﻤﺎ ﻛﺎن اﻟﻌﺎرض ﺑﺴﻴﻄ ﻻ ﻳﻤﻜﻦ ﺗﺠﺎﻫﻠﻪ .إن اﻟﻔﺤﺺ اﻟﻤﻨﺘﻈﻢ ﻳﻤﺜﻞ آﻟﻴﺔ ﻓﺎﻋﻠﺔ ﻟﺘﺨﻔﻴﻒ ذﻟﻚ اﻟﻤﺮض وآﺛﺎرة اﻟﻤﺪﻣﺮة ﻋﺎﻃﻔﻴ وﻛﺬﻟﻚ آﺛﺎرة اﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﺔ واﻻﻗﺘﺼﺎدﻳﺔ .وﺳﺘﻈﻞ ﺟﻬﻮد اﻟﻤﻨﺎﺻﺮة ﻣﻦ اﻻﻫﺪاف اﻻﺳﺎﺳﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ اﻟﻌﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺴﺮﻃﺎن .ﻓﺨﻼل ﻋﺎم ٢٠١٣ﺑﺬﻟﻨﺎ ﺟﻬﻮدا ﺣﺜﻴﺜﺔ ﻟﻠﻮﺻﻮل اﻟﻰ أﻋﺪاد ﻛﺒﻴﺮة ﻣﻦ اﻟﺠﻤﻬﻮر وذﻟﻚ ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل ﻣﺒﺎدرة اﻟﻘﻬﻮة ﺿﺪ اﻟﺴﺮﻃﺎن )ﺻﻔﺤﺔ (٤إن ﻧﺠﺎح ﻫﺬه اﻟﻤﺒﺎدرة اﻟﺘﻮﻋﻮﻳﺔ اﻟﺘﺠﺮﻳﺒﻴﺔ أدى اﻟﻰ وﺿﻌﻬﺎ ﻛﻤﻨﺎﺳﺒﺔ داﺋﻤﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺗﻘﻮﻳﻤﻨﺎ ،وﻧﺤﻦ ﻧﺮﻣﻲ إﻟﻰ ﻧﺸﺮ رﺳﺎﻟﺘﻨﺎ ﻣﺮ ًة اﺧﺮى ﻓﻲ اﻟﻌﺎم اﻟﻘﺎدم ﺑﺈذن ا æﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل ﻫﺬه اﻟﻮﺳﻴﻠﺔ وذﻟﻚ ﻟﺠﻤﻴﻊ اﻟﻤﺪارس واﻟﻤﺆﺳﺴﺎت ﻓﻲ اﻟﺴﻠﻄﻨﺔ.
