Mannes Prep Summer Chamber Music Intensive August 5–11, 2018 / Grades 2–12, all instruments course 1 week Join us for the Summer Chamber Music Intensive, a uniquely personalized ensembles and work closely with members of Mannes Prep’s outstanding and inspiring faculty. The intensive features a low student-faculty ratio, a nurturing musical community, exciting performance opportunities, and plenty of fun! Luxury Design Management: Parsons Paris— Polimoda (Paris and Florence) NEW 4

June 30–July 28 (Paris and Florence) College juniors and seniors, adults Luxury Design Management is a specialized summer course on the essence, heritage, and organization of high-end industries. It focuses on the strategic development of France’s and Italy’s leading luxury sectors and provides an interdisciplinary understanding of their processes and specificities at the crossroads of design innovation, business, and culture.
Italian fashion education institution—is run by resident professors and industry lecturers from Paris and Florence. It combines lectures, seminars, workshops, and field trips to luxury fashion companies and production sites in and around Florence and Paris. June 4–June 21, 2018 / Ages 19+ Discover the writer’s life in New York City at The New School’s Summer Writers Colony. This intensive three-week program provides a supportive yet challenging atmosphere in which to develop as a writer. You and your peers critique one another’s projects in a daily writing workshop moderated by a member of The New School’s distinguished writing faculty. Instructors also provide detailed feedback on your work. Participants can elect to attend daily sessions focused on developing the writer’s craft or join moderated conversations with professionals in publishing. June 25–June 29, 2018 / Ages 19+ The New School Publishing Institute is a week-long intensive in which you acquire the foundation you need to break into the world of New York City publishing—or launch your own venture. Led by publishing veteran John Oakes and featuring visits from offers students and professionals an accelerated and immersive course of study engaging with one of the most popular creative industries in the city. Whether you’re seeking new employment opportunities, wish to learn more about the industry of which you are a part, or are hoping to start your own venture, the New School Publishing Institute will familiarize you with current trends and practices in a rapidly changing field and orient you toward new possibilities.
