Tree Harvest Festival Cal Expo, noon, $29-$57

No, it’s not that kind of tree—this festival is celebrating the harvest of cannabis. Here, you can take in FesTivals all things marijuana— cannabis vendors, cooking demos, funnel cake eating contests—the possibilities are endless. There are dozens of musical acts and comedians performing, including the Philharmonik, Ideateam, Ngaio PHOtO COurtESy OF rICK PrOCtOr Bealum, Steph Sanders, Larry Dorsey and more. Additionally, there’s a Ferris wheel, live artwork and all kinds of food vendors. MiDsUMMeR’s FaiRY-Tale CelTiC ReN FaiR: One unique way to spend a day is this Renaissance fair. Show up and enter a world where it’s not the same era as it is outside—instead, it’s a much closer facsimile of medieval time, but with more justice. Check out the event highlight. 10am, $15-$60.
