ccording to a survey by the National Retail Foundation, nearly 127 million Americans will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year by spending $4.6 billion on green garb, food and more. We’re guessing at least $4.5 billion of it will be on alcohol, and we here at SN&R are planning to do our part. This holiday is a great excuse to get out and explore Sacramento’s diverse bar scene, and our Tour O’ Pubs guide will help you do it Irish-style.

Use our Map O’ Pubs to plan your night (pages 4 and 5). Take our Irish Cocktail Challenge (page 7) and sample original concoctions created by some of our city’s best barkeeps. After you try all nine, vote for your favorite by scanning in the QR code into your smart phone. And while you’re out sampling cocktails, complete our photo scavenger hunt below. Let us be your guide this year. St. Patrick’s Day is Tuesday, March 17, but you can party like you’re Irish starting now.
