ach year during graduation, my job is to make sure students are lined up properly as they walk onstage to receive their certificates. As simple

as this may sound, it’s quite an extraordinary experience. There are no conversations, only a brief moment with apprentices as they walk by. I get to make eye contact with them right before they feel what it’s like to transition from “overwhelming future goal” to the celebration of “proudly achieved goal.” It’s quite surreal and very rewarding.
