On the cover, is the 86-metre glass-clad office tower, 35 Lower Long, designed by dhk Architects, in Cape Town’s growing financial and hospitality precinct. Also in Cape Town is the new addition to the Best Western Vib collection of hotels in Greenpoint, by Robert Silke & Partners. Three projects ushering new approaches to retail-related architecture include the SuperSpar Polofields in Waterfall, Johannesburg, with interiors by GASS Architecture Studios, the new Oggie Showroom in Parktown North designed by architect Carl Jacobsz of C76 Architects, and the showrooms along Commerce Crescent in Kramerville by Paragon, adding to a series of buildings they've worked on there. In each issue of Leading Architecture & Design, dedicated sections focus on key areas of the industry, bringing together useful news, features, industry updates. In the February March 2021 issue, these include Walling, Cladding & Facades, Flooring, Bathrooms and Energy Management.
