SPRING-SUMMER 17
WELCOME TO SS17 This season, more than ever, colour and print are key. Acid brights lead the way as the go to palette – bright prints as well as block colours and 80s rave graphics adorn some of the most statement seasonal pieces. Gingham reigns supreme as our print for spring and is seen across dresses, separates and outerwear. Sleeve details are statement – from over stated ballooned shaped to exaggerated cuffs on deconstructed tailoring. Layering aids the spring/summer transition – studded and embroidered tulle is worn over denim and printed tees keeping things casual and fresh. Spring showers are given a fashionable make over with metallic rainwear – a season staple. Grunge is back but with a folk inspired twist. Multi frills, mismatched ditzy prints and cutwork details are seen on blouses and dresses and worn against ripped denim and lace.

ACCESSORIES Luxe detailing is key – embroidery, tapestry and badging sit alongside metallic finishes and delicate embellishment. Satin, velvet and fur textures have been used to keep things fresh across casual and sports footwear; trainers still have a big presence in the collection but have evolved in blush pinks and flashes of gold. Mules have been updated in pops of colour whilst platforms have evolved in all over print. Block brights such as tangerine and cobalt lead the seasons colour palette. Graphic bag shapes give a sleek and minimal finish and metal ring handles update classic styles. Backpacks remain a key bag shape for the season in mini, oversized or structured styles. Chandelier earrings are worn with statement necklaces for optimum impact and chokers are layered for a new take on the trend. Caps are re-visited in satins and velvets and waist belts revive outfits with corset styles and lace up detail – updating the season’s silhouettes.
