On Thursday, January 29th, long-time Kansas City area developer, Darol Rodrock, hosted a “Realtor Appreciation Breakfast” attended by Realtors, Builders and Bankers involved in the new home industry.

e purpose behind this event was to thank industry professionals for their support in helping make Rodrock communities successful and to introduce Darol Rodrock to new people in the industry. Rodrock specifically honored the hard working co-op agents who benefit their clients as well as fellow agents. His vision is that these alliances will continue to build a strong community where everyone works together to help each other. Robb Heineman of Sporting KC spoke to the 600 attendees. Heineman said he was excited about his company’s partnership with the Darol Rodrock Foundation. He believes the two organizations have similar values and goals. Heineman is considered one of the most progressive, forward thinking leaders in business and sports today. His track record parallels that of Darol Rodrock. Darol Rodrock recognized the relation to the growth in the area’s real estate market with the expansion of Cerner and other companies in Kansas City in 2015. For this and other reasons, Rodrock gave a very optimistic forecast for 2015. To get the excitement cranked up, a ‘Flash Mob’ dressed as waiters and waitresses danced to the hit song, “Happy”. en “money grab” machines allowed participants to fill their pockets with cash and eventually, festivities ended when a suitcase filled with $8,000 for a dream trip of the winner’s choice was won.
