Vaccines and Impacts on Women

Often in the workplace, women are seen to be aggressive if they ask for what they are worth. This could be a negotiation or a promotion, or even applying to get a new job. Women are less likely to negotiate salaries or a raise than men as they are deemed as aggressive and demanding. This adds to the gap in salaries for men and women.

Having seen this issue, Donna Hughes founded Launch Negotiation, an organization that designs negotiation workshops around the world to help people “defy stereotypes”. Launch Negotiation believes in making negotiation accessible. At the end of these workshops, a negotiator is formed. Negotiating is a skill that we all do, sometimes without realizing it. In enhancing this skill, Launch Negotiation helps people from all over the world to prepare them for the workplace.

Many young women benefit from this skill as well. Utilizing these skills at an early age can be beneficial in the future for many women. Launch Negotiation is hosting a webinar at New/Gen on May 28th 2021. This webinar is a workshop to teach young women about the art of negotiating. Through simulations, young women can learn how to use their everyday negotiation skills in the workplace without sounding violent or demanding. Join us this May 28th to learn and practice a very important skill: negotiation to defy the stereotypes.
