Merthyr Bowls honours Thelma’s 90th

MERTHYR Bowls Club members celebrated the 90th birthday of one of the club’s oldest members, Thelma Smith, on November 4. Thelma, a longtime resident of New Farm, was an active player up until the end of 2012 and will always be a favourite at the Merthyr Bowls Club. She was joined by three other longstanding members (from left to right) Irene Clewley, Concetta Mazzacato, the birthday girl Thelma Smith and Eunice Shanahan.
