Community Development Director, Town of Bennington. Shannon Barsotti is the Community Development Director for the Town of Bennington. She has a background in community organizing, public health, town planning, and local food systems. She and her family live on a small farm in Pownal where they raise sheep, chickens and horses.

David LaChance is the news editor of the Bennington Banner. He is a lifelong car enthusiast, and was formerly an editor, writer and photographer with Hemmings Motor News.

Executive Director, The Wilson House Executive Director, Park McCullough Berta Maginniss is the executive director of House Association the Wilson House in East Dorset. A historic home on the National Register of Historic Places, the Wilson House is the birthplace of Alcoholics Anonymous co-founder William Griffith Wilson and serves as a conference center for education in sober lifestyles. It offers programs for conferences and visitors in 12-step recovery programs nearly every weekend of the year. Maginniss was formerly executive director of the Manchester and the Mountains Chamber of Commerce. Before coming to Vermont in 2009, she was chief operating officer of the Greater Washington Board of Trade in Washington, D. C. She previously worked for 25

Christopher Oldham was born and raised in North Bennington, VT. He attended Castleton State College and when he returned to Bennington he was employed by the Vermont Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. He also worked for United Counseling Services and New England Newspapers Inc. He served on several boards for various organizations and spent nine years on the Bennington Select Board. He is the author of a recently released children’s book, “A Father’s Letter to His Son and from 2015-2019 he served as the Executive Director for the Bennington County Coalition for the Homeless. In 2018 he was one of 40 Vermont in-

dividuals under the age of 40 to be recognized with the Vermont Business Magazine’s Rising Star Award. Oldham resigned from BCCH in September to become the Executive Director of the Park McCullough House Association.

Jason Battis Sales Manager, Bennington Honda Jason Battis has been working at Carbone Bennington Honda for over eight years. What he enjoys most about working for Bennington Honda is the professionalism, the great teamwork and the great vehicles that they sell. Jason enjoys kayaking, snowboarding, photography, motorcycles and pretty much anything outdoors! He also enjoys watching baseball, basketball and hockey. When he isn’t hard at work at the dealership, Jason also enjoys vacationing in Captiva Island, Sanibel Island and Maine. Jason has sold over 1,000 vehicles in his career. He attributes this to his loyal customers and the incredible store he represents.
