Situated on 160 acres in southern Columbia County, NY overlooking Copake Lake with breathtaking views of the Berkshires and Catskills from every hole. Just 2 hours from Manhattan and 2.5 hours from Boston, Copake Country Club has offered an exceptional course to generations of golfers since 1921.

The original design of Copake Country Club dates back to the legendary Golden Age Architect, Devereux Emmet, a founding member of the famous National Golf Links on Long Island as well as a prolific course designer. Not far from The National, Emmet designed his most noteworthy course, Garden City Golf Club. In 2005, Copake Country Club was up for sale, fated to be destroyed and subdivided for development. Jon Urban, and his friend Ross Mauri, both longtime lake residents, realized the club’s benefit to the community and stepped in to save the golf course and it’s rich heritage, becoming its proud new owners. The course is being carefully restored to bring back the time-tested strategies and unique design features employed by one of golf ’s renowned designers while at the same time thinking green.
