A Generosity of Spirit
Newark Academy’s School Council conducted its 8th Annual 5K Run for FOP. This benefit has a special place in the hearts of members of the NA community and the continued support for this event from students, parents, alumni and friends has demonstrated a strong commitment to find a cure for Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP), a rare disease that affects a beloved member of our community, Ian Cali ’08. A collective total of more than $100,000 has been raised to support the Ian L. Cali Fund for research at the University of Pennsylvania.
