498 Fulton St. History. Fulton street is one of the main & the busiest street in Brooklyn. Fulton street is the home to many buildings which support businesses, offices, homes, and much more. Fulton Street was named after an engineer named ROBERT FULTON. The existence of Fulton street was mainly to link the borough of Brooklyn and Manhattan by ferry service. 498 Fulton St. is a site that is found between Fulton, Livingston, Bond streets, and Hanover place. The existing building is currently owned by J W Mays Inc. The building is well over 90 years old, it was constructed in about the year 1919, and presently it serves as a place for retail, office space, and other businesses.
