Newsletter Friday, 24th May 2013 Dear Parent/Carer I am delighted to inform you that the Secretary of State for Education has now signed the ‘Academy Order’ which is formal approval for Neville Lovett Community School to convert to Fareham Academy from September 2013. This is a very significant time for the school and plans are progressing well to ensure a smooth transition for our students. School uniform has been ordered from Brigade Uniform and details of distribution will follow next half term. As previously agreed the school will provide each student with a complimentary blazer, tie and jumper ready for the start of the Autumn Term. PE Kit will continue to be available to order via the school office. I hope that you all have an enjoyable half term break. Rounders Tournament - Victory for Year 7 Congratulations to the Year 7 Rounders Team who entered their fist tournament this week—and won! The team played against all the schools in Fareham and Gosport and won every match. Their greatest victory was 10—3 over Brookfield. Newsletter Friday, 24th May 2013 Governor News On Tuesday, 21st May 2013 the governing body agreed on the constitution of the Board of Governors for Fareham Academy. Letters to parents inviting them to apply for a parent governor position will be sent home via students. The letters will also be available on line and a copy has been attached to this newsletter. Closing date for applications is Friday, 7th June 2013 at 4.00 pm. Elizabeth Webb, Chair of Governors Introducing Vivo - The exciting new awards scheme Students and staff have all attended assemblies this week to learn about the exiting new reward scheme being introduced after half term. Here are some of the important points about the scheme: What is Vivo Miles?
Vivo Miles is an online rewards system which aims to motivate students to work hard at school.
Teachers award students Vivos (electronic Points) for a range of categories decided by the school for example; attendance, good work, effort etc.
Students can save and spend their Vivos on the rewards they want from an online catalogue in the Vivo Shop.
Students can check their Vivo balance by logging on to their account through the vivomiles.com website.
Some of the fantastic awards on offer are: Sports Equipment Computer games and electronic gadgets Top-up credit and high street gift voucners

Vivo parent site launched! We're very excited to announce that the parent login is now available through its own unique site at www.vivorewards.com.
