Kleine Engelchen
Ein Band hellen Baumwollstoff (ca. 6 cm hoch, 20 cm breit) und gemusterten Stoff (ca. 10 cm hoch, 20 cm breit) absteppen und an der langen Seite zusammennähen (grüne Linie) und an der Naht auseinanderbügeln. In der Mitte falten (rote Linie) und den Umriss des Engels auf die rechte Seite des Stoffs zeichnen. Dabei sollte der Kopf auf dem weißen Stoff liegen, der Rumpf auf dem gemusterten. Am Umriss mit der Nähmaschine entlangnähen, dabei ein Loch im Rumpf offenlassen, um den Körper später zu wenden. Den Umriss mit ca. 5 mm Rand ausschneiden. Engelchen-Körper wenden. Mit Füllwatte füllen. 2 Stück Schnur mit einer Länge von ca. 20 cm abschneiden. Für den Füße ca. 4 cm am unteren Ende des Stricks zu Schlaufe formen und mit Knoten befestigen. Sehr fest ziehen, ehe der Überstand an Schnur abgeschnitten wird. Den Rumpf unten mit der Hand zunähen, dabei die beiden Strickbeine hineinstecken und beim Schließen mit feinen Stichen festnähen. Die Pompongirlande kann entweder mit feinen Stichen angenäht werden oder aber auch mit Alleskleber befestigt werden. Als nächstes die Augen des Engels mit blauen Stickgarn sticken, daraufhin den Mund mit kleinen Steppstichen in Beige. Vom dünneren Schnurband 5-6 cm lange Stücken schneiden, die Enden aufrollen und mit Kleber die Form fixieren. Trocknen lassen und die Haare einzeln am Kopf festkleben. Eine kleine Perle oder Paillette kann auf einer Seite der Haare festgeklebt werden (Haarspange). Mithilfe eines trockenen Pinsels, ‚Blush‘ auf die Wangen des Engels auftragen (möglich ist hier auch das Verwenden von einfacher Textilfarbe. Diese sollte extrem sparsam mit dem
trockenen Pinsel aufgetragen werden. Vorher auf einem Blatt Papier ausprobieren!!! Final vom dicken Schnurband 2 Stücke à 30 cm schneiden und in die Form einer 8 legen. Mit Leim fixieren und am Rücken der Engel befestigen (mit Kleber oder besser: annähen) Einen dünnen Faden/Strick am Kopf festnähen, der als Aufhängung dient.

Cut a strip of light cotton (6 cm tall, 20 cm wide) and patterned fabric (10 cm tall, 20 cm wide) and sew them together on the long side - right side on right side (green line), iron the whole piece. Now fold the piece in the middle (red line) and draw the outline of the angel onto fabric. The head should be on the white fabric, the body on the patterned part of the patchwork piece. Sew along the outline, leaving open a part at the bottom of the body in order to turn it around. Cut around the outline, leaving around 5mm (or more) margin. Turn the angel inside out and fill with wadding. Cut 2 pieces of thick cord of about 20 cm for the legs. For feet take around 4 cm, make a little loop and secure it. Therefore tie a little, tight knot and cut off excess cord. Close the bottom part of the body by hand. While sewing, put the legs into the body and secure them with little stitches. You may glue OR sew the little pompon ribbon onto the body. Next use blue embroidery yarn in order to stitch little eyes onto the angel‘s face, the mouth is done with beige embroidery yarn with little backstitches. Use the lighter cord (pieces of 5-6 cm) to make hair. Therefore roll the ends of the cord and secure its form with glue. Glue all the hairs step by step onto the head. A little bead or sequin may be added to create the look of a hair band. Using a very dry brush, tab on blush onto the angel‘s face. You can use normal textile colours, however be sure to try out colour and brush on a paper before applying it to the angel‘s face.
Finally cut 2 pieces of thick cord Ă 30 cm and lay them out in the form of an 8. Secure with glue and attach them to the back of the angel (you may use glue or better sew the wings on). A little string, sewn on to the top of the head, will serve as hanger.
