What started out as an o rdinary year, in a few short weeks, became an extraordinary year. Thro ug ho ut the pause in life, the wheels of NFA continued to turn. The affiliated clubs and the players joined the wait and finally the ‘Return to Play’ plan was announced. Although a little d ifferent, p layers could p lay.

Club visits were made to thank and support our affiliated clubs, acknowledging the extra wo rk that the situation had generated. It was ad ditionally an o pportunity to celebrate with club s the very fact that the players were p laying. Thank you to the clubs who made the visits welcoming, enjoyable and meaningful.

Grievance and Disciplinary

There were p lans to ro ll o ut strategies in 2020 to curb p oor sid eline b ehaviours. These were p ut o n ho ld , b ut the intentio n is to p ro ceed with their imp lementation for 2021. The p urp o se is to imp rove the sid eline b ehaviour and make a p o sitive d if ference to match d ay exp eriences.

The Bo ard has worked closely with NRG to ensure that g ame day experiences are enjoyed b y everyone. Thank you to the members of NRG for your continued commitment.

Sincere thanks are extended to the members of the DC and GPT p anels for g iving their time exp ertise and d eterminations. Your contributions and opinions are very much ap p reciated.

I wo uld like to take the opportunity to thank NFA staff for their amazing wo rk throughout the seaso n. Linda has steered the Association through the turmoil of 2020 and has been very ab ly assisted b y James, Alicia, Frank, Eric, Sue, Laurie, with Brayden jo ining the team in Octo ber.

Enjo y o ur Summer Fo otball experience, or your summer activities. I lo o k forward to moving f o rward in 2021.
