new Zealand Midget grand prix and of course here in Nelson. As a bonus feature the kids (8 – 15 yr olds) in the Quarter Midgets will be making their first appearance of the season here in Nelson in a round of their South Island series. This is a class that is really gaining momentum in New Zealand speedway and there is already a couple of cars here in Nelson that

compete and is looking to gain traction as it’s a great way to get your kids into speedway. Tensions rise in TPL Peter Grigg

Don’t miss the kids (8 – 15 yr olds) in the Quarter Midgets who will be making their first appearance of the season here in Nelson in a round of their South Island series.

Bonus point victories to Car Company Stoke Nayland, ACOB and Nelson College maintained the intrigue in the TPL club cricket competition on Saturday. With just one more match each to play, these three plus the Dolphins all have a chance of

making the three team playoffs in February. The wheels are wobbling on the Dolphins campaign and without big run-scorer Prabodha Arthavidu they seem especially vulnerable. Stoke Nayland and ACOB seem assured of playoff berths while Nelson College, under master coach Garry MacDonald,

appear to be coming home with a wet sail. The outstanding individual performance of the day was produced by belligerent ACOB opener Thomas Zohrab who backed up a fine 117 with a parsimonious and dangerous bowling display of 4/13 off ten overs. Full results in the Nelson App.
