Will Hewitt off to Space Camp: Well done. Will taught my twins how to make their Arduino robots as part of the local Ministry of Inspiration courses. He is an inspirational role model. Ruth Jarman.
Go for the big dream. Rocking it. We will be watching. Nikky Lohmann.
Liam Malone off to Rio: Liam, you are an inspiration to all. I love watching you compete. Give it your all and then some. Leah Cotton.
Even at school, this man's first choice of sport was rugby, even though he has his own situation, he was always keen to play. Go hard bro, tau toko all da way bruh. Yakira Ft MissEnvy Takimoana.
you suck at this one. Kylee Graham. Mapua wharf blowout angers: Kempthorne knew! Downplaying the situation like he is, probably means he knew or even encouraged it. Rayon Mackenzie. No one in council will take responsibility. There will be some shady excuses and it will be brushed under the carpet. The status quo is not working. Both TDC and NCC are out of control, so until there are responsible and accountable people voted into these positions then this will continue. Dominick Unterberger.
Stolen cars set on fire: Are they not being locked? Marten Botje.
I guess we should thank Trevor Norris, Judene Edgar and Mark Greening for at least standing up to it! McKenzie and Kempthorne would bury it under the carpet, someone has to approve it! Heads should roll. Karen Mackey.
There were 4 or 5 burnt out down the river by my place. Daniel Logan.

Meth. Meth is happening. Hazel Trethowen.
This retail complex was not needed, it spoils the originality of the wharf, what's more the aquarium should have been replaced. So disgusted at the lack of respect for the site and the public. Roger Doran.
Why do these idiots burn them, what does that achieve in getting their next fix?? Keri Page. I reckon we are becoming the car thieving capital of the country. Daniel Murphy.

NCC approves annual plan: Nelson councillor Tim Skinner should be commended as the only councillor to object to the excessive spending and massive debt increase by council. Although council has increased the rate take by 125 per cent in ten years (while inflation was 25 per cent), council’s appetite

for our money has exploded this year. As the Civil Libertarian P.J. O’Rourke once stated, “Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.” Dan McGuire. Poison drop: As a Brook Valley resident, I am not looking forward to the aerial drop of 26.5 tonne of Brodifacoum by the Brook Sanctuary Trust. It’s been an eyeopener into the industry of poisons. Richard Prosser, NZ First MP, gave a talk called “Beyond 1080” yesterday. It was disheartening to hear that New Zealand has met the international standards of being TBfree for the last ten years. During seven of these ten years, baits containing 5.44 tonne of pure 1080 has been dropped over 2.221 million hectares surrounding livestock. This report does not include areas of ground control, other poisons or the other three years. (Annual Report on the Aerial Use of 1080’ (2014), Environmental Protection Authority). It makes me question how safe our meat is and other farm produce? As a nation relying on export, this makes no sense. Nor is the acceptance of inhumane suffering of any animal. Prosser rightly voiced a need for different management strategies. Helen Black.
