greatest all-rounders. More importantly though, he will long be remembered as a superb ambassador for motorcycle sport, and for always behaving like a Champion should. With thanks to Mike Jackson, on whose contribution this obituary has been based.

He encouraged Harry, his son with a selection of machines from a little Yamaha up to a modern Gas Gas. Harry went on to expert status and represented the South Midland centre in several Inter centre team trials as a youth. Richard was always there at events to look out for him. Rich will be much missed at trials and our thoughts go out to his family at this sad time.

A sad day for everyone in the South Midland centre with the passing of Richard Coleman . Richard joined the Berkhamsted club some years ago and rode in trials for many years. He rode a good selection of bikes and was always ready with a smile or a joke at events. He ran a successful car paintshop business in Hemel Hempstead and was always a friendly face at trials.
