Back to School Barbecue – A whole school event – 4pm–7pm Brought to you by the British School of Paris Society, Development Office and Area Welcome Representatives. Start the new school year in style with friends old and new with an open air theatre production and entertainment for all the family. Delicious barbecue, champagne tent and bar kindly provided by the British School of Paris Society, but please bring along a picnic rug or chairs to set up your pitch on the Senior School lawns. There will be burgers, hotdogs, popcorn and ice-cream for sale as well as a selection of drinks. Entrance to the event and the open-air theatre performance is free of charge, so please bring along the whole family! School staff, British School of Paris Society parents and Area Welcome Representatives will be on hand to meet new families, and to answer any questions you may have about your first days or weeks living in France. The play involves a bit of slapstick, plenty of water sloshing around and lots of audience participation. You’ll definitely laugh, you’ll probably cry – and we defy you not to be cheering at the archery competition or the sponge-throwing in the stocks.
Please note: This is an outdoor production by a professional theatre company and will go ahead no matter what the weather conditions. Please dress accordingly, and bring a low-backed chair or rug to sit on.
