tionwide, Sqwish Sqwash events promote a way of life and not just an adventure. It goes as far as to bring togetherness in the work place, as well as in the communities their participants live in. Max says, “We have helped our charities raise money through our events from donations and participant registrations. We offer a unique twist from other obstacle races. We are a challenge series that offers different levels of competitions to match the strength of the participants, whether as an individual or a team. We are not just a mud run; our challenges are not based on water or mud. Some will have water, some will have mud, and some will have both.” Sqwish Sqwash Challenges is a proud supporter of both the National Fallen Firefighter and Special Operations Warrior Foundations.

National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Created by the United States Congress, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation leads a nationwide effort to remember America's fallen firefighters. Since 1992 this nonprofit Foundation

has developed and expanded programs to honor our fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers. Their mission is to honor and remember America's fallen fire heroes and to provide resources to assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives. Each October, the Foundation sponsors the official national tribute to all firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year. Thousands attend the weekend activities held at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The Weekend features special programs for survivors and coworkers, along with moving public ceremonies.

Foundation has been supporting the families of fallen and wounded Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel for over 31 years. The foundation provides two primary programs – full college scholarships and educational counseling to the children of fallen special operations personnel. Scholarships include tuition, books, fees, room and board, in addition to providing laptops and printers. The SOWF also provides immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operations personnel so their family can be bed-side during their loved one’s recovery. "What makes us different from

other scholarship organizations is that we proactively reach out to all of our students and work with them to get them into school," said SOWF President, John T. Carney, Jr. So if you are looking for a real adventure and think you got what it takes to conquer one of these upcoming challenges, sign up today and get ready to be pushed to the limit! The Oktoberfest Challenge Series will be held Saturday, October 13th at Starkey Ranch, located at 12959 State Road 54 in Odessa.
