ANONYMOUS STUDENT CLUBS

Clubs serve as a vehicle for connecting students to those who share the same passions and interests. There are 40 student-led clubs and 10 honor
societies at Notre Dame Preparatory, and they all offer ways for students to enjoy a hobby, work for a cause, deepen their faith, gain leadership skills and serve others.
Dedicated adult moderators put in extra hours to make sure that our clubs are rewarding and full of opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and world view.
In 2019-20, students formed the Diversity Student Union to help increase awareness and expand the cultural diversity of our student body. Their purpose is to build a community of students from diverse backgrounds to share personal accounts that will bring students together.
Many clubs travel to places around the world and in the United States for hands-on
experiences. Members of the Adventure Club joined our Environmental Science students on a trip to Iceland in October 2019 where they studied glaciers, weather and astronomy. They hiked a glacier, volunteered at a local Catholic church, worked with sled dogs, viewed the Northern Lights and snorkeled between two tectonic plates.
Baking Club was set to go to Paris and study at Le Cordon Bleu last spring, but the trip was postponed due to COVID-19. They will go in 2020-21 instead. Saints For Life traveled to
Washington, D.C. in January 2020 to participate in the National March for Life and other pro-life prayer services and events. This is something they do every year. They also participate in local pro-life events.
Our clubs run the gamut of interests from Medical Club and Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research to Chess, PAWS Club and
many more. In addition to clubs, we offer several Honor Societies such as The Mater
Dei Chapter of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta National High School Mathematics Club, International Thespian Society, the Quill and Scroll High School Journalists International Honor Society (new in 2019) and others.
Clubs and honor societies expand learning beyond the classroom, provide a place of belonging and enhance students’ high school years in many exciting ways.
