This is a warehouse mainly for storing steel tubes and steel bars. It is associated with offices. It will also be a headquarters. Design idea is to highlight the strength and heaviness of steel and to reflect it in elevations using concrete. During the 20th century when concrete was introduced in the World of construction, Le Corbusier was one of the masters to use it, therefore he was taken as a reference.

Project Name:MIXED USE PROTOTYPE

This is a proposed prototype of mixed use buildings that can be replicated around Nyarugenge district. The proposal hosts various activities including restaurants, shops, and apartments. The project had to be incorporate on a footprint of 35mx12m. This allowed the creation of a long narrow building which facilitates ventilation and lighting. Windows were Similarly made long and narrow to allow adequate sunlight while preventing overexposure in the interiors. This prototype was conceived with the prediction that it can be constructed in different phases depending on the available funds and program requirements.

The main idea of A Jeff House is borrowed from modern architecture where terraces are horizontally highlighted to emphasize on openness that gives an opportunity for users to enjoy views.

Project Name: Kassim residence

Client: H. Kassim

Year: 2021

Location: Rebero-Kigali

Status: Under construction

The site is located up on the hill oriented on Kigali views. To explore this opportunity, the proposal is composed in two main wings. The right wing perpendicularly captures half of the views while the left wing is tilted on 45 degrees and makes interior spaces enjoy the other part of Kigali. Successfully this idea marges interior architectural promenades with the landscape.
