The Lady Eagles soared to "Even Greater Heights" in 2001-02: earned second straight berth to NCAA Division II South Atlantic Regional Championship; advanced to the NCAA Championship “Sweet 16” for the first time in Lady Eagle history; achieved No. 1 ranking in the South Atlantic Region poll (Feb. 27, 2002 – Final Poll) for the first time in NCCU women’s basketball history, captured the CIAA Western Division regular season title for the third time in the past four years; finished second consecutive season with an undefeated record at home, establishing a 24-game home court win streak, and reached the 20-win plateau for the third time in the past four seasons.

2005-06 Lady Eagles - NCAA South Atlantic Regional Semifinalist

The 2005-06 Lady Eagles earned a trip to the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Regional playoffs for the first time in four years, advancing to the regional semifinals; posted the third best season in school history with an overall record of 23-7; opened the season with a school-best 11-1 record; and reached the 20-win plateau for just the fourth time in school history.
