Reviews Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. *****(Warning there may be spoilers)***** Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. is new series from Joss Whedon that picks up after the Avengers movie. It is a good show that I am enjoying because I loved the Avengers and am a great fan of Agent Coulson. I think I like Agent Coulson because his an easy going guy who lets nothing bother him. The show has some nice equipment which includes a nice cargo jet and a corvette. The other characters on the show include two scientist geeks Fitz and Simmons who spew techno babble at 1000 words a minute; Agent Ward, a combat and espionage expert; Agent May, who is the pilot of the cargo plane and doesn’t really want to be on the team; and Skye, who is a computer hacker they pick up along the way. So far there has been two cameos on the show from the movie which has made it nice for tie-in purposes. As a show, so far, it has been slow going but I have liked the stories. There have been some superhero stuff but I think they are going to keep that in the background. They will be focusing on the human abilities of characters to solve problems than trying to do by super human feat. The show might not be to the liking of those who read the comic books but I think, if given a chance, it will be a good addition to the Marvel Universe. The only problem I have with the show is the Fitz/Simmons characters. They speak in a Scottish accent at way to fast of pace. Sometimes even closed captioning can’t keep up.
