With just a bit of gear and a fishing license, fishing is one of the easiest ways to enjoy the outdoors! Gain confidence as you practice casting, knot-tying, and other fishing skills. All equipment provided. Texas fishing license required for participants 17+. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.
ARCHERY IN THE PARK
Get out on the field, socialize and become active with the safe, healthy and fun sport of archery! Learn the basic techniques of target archery and handling a compound bow with a certified instructor in this beginnerlevel class. Equipment provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Learn what to look for when you see a bird, how to use binoculars and more while you explore around the Fischer Park ponds. Binoculars provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult. FISCHER PARK ATTRACTIONS KAYAK RENTALS
Explore the waters of the Fischer Park ponds in a siton-top kayak. Watercraft may be rented at the Nature Education Center Gift Shop. Kayaks are first come, first served; please call ahead to ensure availability. Ages: All | Cost: Rentals start at $5 per person | Saturdays 10am-5pm, Sundays 12-5pm March 11-October 31 (Weather Permitting)
SPLASH PAD
The Fischer Park Splashpad features a variety of interactive water toys that spray, spout, mist and pour, providing fun for children of all ages. Ages: All | Cost: Free | 9am-9pm March 11-October 31 (Weather Permitting)
