Commandant Anne Spencer.
After joining the WRNS in 1962, Commandant Spencer held a series of officer appointments in the Catering and Supply areas. She served at HMS Excellent and HMS Pembroke before become Mess Manager at RN College. Greenwich. MOD posts have included appointments with Commodore (Intelligence) and in the Directorate of Naval Service Conditions. As a Chief Officer she served at NATO Headquarters. Brussels, and later became Deputy Director WRNS. Since promotion to Superintendent she has been Naval Director on the Naafi Board of Management and, from 1989, Chief Staff Officer (Admin) to Flag Officer Plymouth.
COMMODORE M.C. Boyce, at present serving in MOD, is to be promoted rear-admiral and to be Flag Officer Sea Training and Naval Base Commander Portland in succession to Rear-Admiral A.B.
