Wind & Offshore Lifting Factor (WOLF) The Damen WOLF is a new platform able to work across the offshore renewable and non-renewables markets as well as in decommissioning. The DG JACK 14350 P is a new entry to the range. It has a capacity to carry three complete 10MW wind turbine installations including complete towers, nacelles and blades. The crane of the DG JACK 14350 P has a capacity of 1,250 tonnes at a height of 135 metre above the working deck – 160 metre above sea level for installing towers and and complete nacelles nacelles. Damen’s R&D department invested a great deal of time improving the design of a conventional catamaran so that the FCS 2710 could achieve its unrivalled seakeeping behaviour at high speeds. The Sea Axe hull shape, along with the raised deck of the design, mean that the vessel can operate at these speeds in higher sea states, greatly extending the operating window.
Comfort is additionally improved by the positioning of the superstructure to the aft of the vessel. The vessel design offers a large working deck area with extensive cargo capacity, for the highest levels of workability.
