Using Nattokinase Proteolytic Enzymes as an Anti-coagulant Enzymes are generally proteins, which are responsible for an abundance of different reactions between molecules in the human body. The bio-chemistry of our bodies, fundamentally requires the presence of enzymes for a catalyst reaction to sustain normal function, which includes everything from blood circulation to digesting the food in your stomach and small intestines. Two of the most important and similarly acting enzymes, to your blood health are nattokinase and serrapeptase. Nattokinase is produced during the fermentation process of soy beans, and serrapeptase is found in the gut of the silkworm. Neither are pleasant to think about, but both have wonderful healing properties. For the purpose of this article, we will focus on nattokinase because I have found it so useful. It allows me to live a normal life, which up until the time I found nattokinase, was very uncomfortable and painful. I was immobile, needing my legs to be raised higher than my waistline so the blood would travel back up to my heart! I needed several hospital visits, and for a time I was prescribed warfarin, which is a very dangerous drug. But, since I found the nattokinase supplement, my life has been relatively pain free, certainly more comfortable and I no longer need to visit my hospital consultant or doctor about my circulation. I do however, where 'compression stockings' and will do for the rest of my life, but I was wearing them before I started using this proteolytic enzyme. They compress the bottom of my ankles, which helps the blood travel around my body and back to my heart.

The Bigger Picture of Heart Health The human heart beats from a time little after fertilization, non-stop until the end of that life. In a lifetime, it will pump around fifteen hundred gallons of blood every single day. It does this by pumping about one hundred thousand times, to get the oxygen, hormones, neurotransmitters and other vital enzymes to all parts of the body through the near myriad of veins, blood vessels, arteries and capillaries. There are anything up to one hundred thousand blood vessels in the body. The heart and it's 'travel' system does an absolutely crucial and very hard job throughout its lifetime. So it must be supported with nutrients and ultimately cared for so that it stays healthy for the duration of your life. Nattokinase is a powerful enzyme that is recommended by many medical professionals and alternative medicine authorities. Read more on this topic here: Enzymedia: The Enzyme Experts Article

Care for Your Blood System With Nattokinase Nattokinase is a proteolytic enzyme (as is serrapeptase) that has an anti-coagulating effect on the blood. This is important to your blood system because your blood needs to be a certain fluidity to be able to flow freely around the body. Too thick, it doesn't flow and causes and array of health problems. Too thin and if you cut yourself, the cut won't stop bleeding. This is important to know if you are already taking anti-coagulating medication like warfarin. In this case, you should refrain from taking both. Speak to your primary care doctor first, both about stopping taking the warfarin and also taking nattokinase. He may recommend blood tests before, during and after to see how nattokinase affects you. So, how could nattokinase help you and what health problems could it help with? When your blood is too thick, which most people’s blood is, it causes a build up of fibrins called, fibrinogen. This can cause blood clots, leading to deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which is what happened to me. Nattokinase attacks the build up of fibrin, breaking it down and helping your blood circulation to normalize. When your blood returns to normal fluidity, it transports nutrients and extracts waste materials such as carbon dioxide away from your vital organs, sending it through filters and out of your body.
