Historical Highlights 1944
Roberts Manufacturing Co. Limited was established on March 24, 1944 - named after founder, J. C. Roberts (pictured above left).
1993
The plant at Lower Estate was expanded with the commissioning of the soybean extraction plant.
1947
Roberts Glow Spread Margarine and Roberts Mello Kreem Margarine were first produced in the old BICO building on Bay Street, St Michael, and launched in Barbados.
1998
Roberts gained International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9002: 1994 certification within a record time of nine months.
2000
The feed division of Roberts was amalgamated with that of ADM Barbados Feeds to form Pinnacle Feeds Ltd.
The canning plant was commissioned to produce cans to contain margarine and for the local paint manufacturing industry. 1956

2001 Animal feed for United States brand Full-O-Pep began under an arrangement with the Quaker company. Full-O-Pep Feeds was later renamed Wayne Feeds under a franchise from Continental Milling.
Pinnacle Feeds Ltd introduced a quarterly newsletter for the farming community called The Feed Solution which is still published today.
2002
Roberts upgraded its ISO certification to ISO 9001: 2000 management systems.
The shortening and margarine plant moved to join the feed operation in Government Hill, St Michael.
2003
Roberts obtained the Hazard Analysis, Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification.
2005
Roberts partnered with the Junior Duelling Challenge programme which has soared in popularity. This has grown into an additional programme for the region under the Caribbean Junior Duelling Challenge name, both of which Roberts title sponsors to this very day.
The company acquired the majority shareholding in Vitamin Pet Foods Ltd and added the production of dog, puppy and cat food. Cat food production was later discontinued. Roberts also purchased Chick Growers Ltd – a poultry processing plant.
1988
The computerised feed plant and administrative offices moved to Lower Estate, St Michael.
1989
Roberts ceased production of metal containers and introduced packaging configurations for the shortening and margarine products in plastic containers.
Pinnacle Feeds Ltd became the sole platinum sponsor of Agrofest. Installed a new fully computer-operated system to provide more efficient controls for the feed plant. 2008
The Roberts Farm and Pet Mart was added to the Lower Estate operation.
Installed a state-of-the-art Gerstenberg Schroder Perfector unit (heat exchanger) to automate some aspects of Roberts’ shortening and margarine production process to optimise consistency in product quality.
1991
The shortening and margarine plant was relocated to Lower Estate.
Installed a new Geelen pellet cooler for the feed plant.
