Letter from the editor March is our music issue and we celebrate all things music . The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can be divided into genres and subgenres, although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to individual interpretation, and occasionally controversial. One thing that is for sure is that we all need it. Most of us don’t go a day without it. On the cover of this months magazine, Laura Marano a sixteen year old song writer, singer and actress shows us on her TV series Austin & Ally just how important music is. This month take the time to listen to all your favorite songs. I know that if I’m feeling a bit down all I need to do is turn up the music and a smile is instantly on my face. My close friends play the piano and when they are feeling down all they need to do is sit down and start to play and the whole room lights up with joy. We will also be featuring handmade in America. We hand picked the handmade and came up with a list that has something for everyone. Not only are these products Made in America but they are made with so much love. We didn’t forget all of our fashion, beauty and home ideas that we always love to share with you. We are so happy with this issue and I’m sure you will be too.
