Various ensembles of the Artane School of Music, including the world famous Artane Band
IFTA award winning composer and arranger Brian Byrne returns to direct the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Big Band in a programme ranging from huge orchestral scores to minimal ensemble compositions. Brian Byrne has written music for films in many genres. He won the Irish Film and Television Award for his original score for Irish Sci-Fi comedy Zonad, directed by John Carney. He then scored an indie drama called The Good Doctor, starring Orlando Bloom and has recently finished the score to Oscar hopeful Albert Nobbs starring Glenn Close.
A fantastic showcase from the Artane School of Music ensembles with a little something for everyone. Over the years the Artane Band has produced some of Ireland’s top musical talent. Come and see for yourself what it’s all about! Music from all genres including selections from Harry Potter movies, Pixar Movies and some classic big band and rock arrangements.
