• installation of an automatic TV/thermal target tracker; • installation of a 30mm grenade launcher with a drive independent from the cannon and a magazine for 300 grenades, placed at the rear of the armored turret; • optional installation of a commander’s panoramic sight. This provides: • day/night fire of all types of ammunition on the move through equipping the IFV with a round-theclock FCS; • assured destruction of current and advanced ERA-protected tanks at ranges of up to 5,500 m, as well as pinpoint targets using guided missiles, day or night; • higher rate of ATGMs fire; • eliminates the need for reloading ATGM launchers on the battlefield, thus increasing crew survivability; • mitigates the effects of the operator’s psychophysical condition on the result of fire; • engagement of tank-killing manpower, both sheltered and going

to ground, through fitting the vehicle with a 30mm AG-30 grenade launcher; • higher kill probability against different targets using the automatic cannon through FCS modification and the use of a new subcaliber armor-piercing round. Placing the new equipment requires minimal turret modifications. Elements of the armament system are fixed on the production-type armored turret body and can be installed where BMP-2s are deployed. Automatic TV/thermal target tracker

The automatic target tracker gives the fire control system a new feature – it implements the «fireand-forget» concept. Human is excluded from the guidance loop, and accurate target tracking becomes a technical warranted characteristic. KBP has been working on automatic target tracking systems more than 20 years and pioneered developing an automatic target tracker for

fire control systems of armored vehicles in Russia. Currently, the automatic target tracker has undergone extensive testing and demonstrates stable operation in complex terrestrial backgrounds. Given the specifics of employing armored fighting vehicles (terrain features, background, jamming), the automatic target tracker developed by KBP is the best and most mature system. The up-to-date armament system for IFV is designed for both offensive and defensive fighting and should be capable of engaging a wide range of targets: • unsheltered and sheltered manpower equipped with a variety of antitank weapons (ATGM, LAW), both single and dispersed over an area; • soft-skin equipment and weapons; • light armored vehicles (IFV, APC); • tanks; • aerial threats. Using the Kornet-E system allows the destruction of ERA-pro-
