I am a graduate of Curtin University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in graphic design, two Australian design awards, and several years of freelancing under my belt.

I am who creates meaningful concepts that are beautifully executed, is obsessed with typefaces, loves the smell of fresh ink on paper, and is an avid adventurer, always keen to try something new.

hello.

KAMANI BAR & GRILL Identity & Branding

Inspired by lyrics from Jack Johnson's Constellations, the Kamani Bar & Grill is a place where Perth's more mature social crowd gather to have a few drinks, a light meal and chill out to some live acoustic music beside the vertical green wall. Generated from hand painting, the logotype has been etched into western red cedar and finished with copper metallic ink to simulate patinated metal inlays. The logo represents the limbs of the kamani tree with the kamani flower as a secondary graphic device. Interior signage is crafted from patinated corten steel with etching on exterior windows. Paper items printed on Spicers Conqueror Laid or similar.

PETITE PLUIE RAINWEAR

Identity, Collateral & Packaging

Based in New Zealand, Petite Pluie is a new children's rainwear company which will provide unique, high quality designs for the domestic and Australian markets. Literally translated as "tiny rain", Petite Pluie's signature cloud shape has been applied across the company's collateral and as the shape of the swing tag, where it is hoped that its form will become instantly recognisable as the organisation grows. Printed on 120gsm and 250gsm linen paper; swing tags have metal eyelets and ribbed white ribbon.

VESPAGGIO SCOOTER CO Logo & Annual Report

Since Vespa scooter owners are known to be a quirky bunch, the logo and annual report for Vespaggio Scooter Co had to reflect that inherit uniqueness whilst still effectively communicating the requisite legal information to the company’s stakeholders. Inspired by the original 1950’s Vespa brochures and the traditional motorcycling racing colour palette, the annual report incorporates retro typefaces and lomographed photographs of iconic Vespa parts to convey the history and nature of the organisation and its products. Printed on 100% post-consumer recycled stock with blind debossing.

AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT Anti-Bullying Campaign

As part of the Australian Government’s The Line initiative which targets issues faced by teenagers and their families today, this anti-bullying campaign was developed to highlight the effect of schoolyard teasing and name-calling. The outdoor bus shelter poster is accompanied by the distribution of small pin badges to every high school student as a means of reinforcing the “think again” message utilising the current surf & skate trend to appeal to young teens. Poster printed on glossy stock and mounted behind perspex; pin badges printed on matte stock and laminated on metal pins.

CANADA PAPER INDUSTRY Trade Show Poster Design

The Canadian Paper Industry chose Vancouver as the destination of their 2011 trade show and required a poster which would encourage local and international attendance. Hundreds of maple leaves with individually scored veins have been cut out of a variety of fall-toned cardstocks and layered on a handcrafted tree trunk to convey the seasonal timing of the show and the origin of paper pulp. Two small squirrels have also been included as a reference to Canada.

ROTTNEST / AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL Music Festival Poster Design

Combining the colours of the maritime environment with Hokusai inspired oceanic graphics, this festival poster for Rottnest Island Tourism and Amnesty International projects a sense of fun and movement to promote their 2011 music festival on the island.

SBF SHIPBUILDERS

Identity Redesign & Branding

Based in Perth, SBF Shipbuilders is shipbuilding and maintenance organisation with a long history within the maritime manufacturing industry. The new identity retains part of the company's history in its tagline but introduces a strong, forward-thinking logo to see it into the future. The brand manual has been carefully developed to ensure the new identity is applied consistently across the organisation in all forms. Logo is laser etched onto aluminium; pages printed on 150gsm & 300gsm satin paper; bound with silver chicago screw and posts.

LEGO速 MEN COLLECTION Packaging

As children aren't allowed to take Lego to school for fear of losing it in the playground, this project solves the problem by introducing the concept of baseball style Lego collector cards. Each set contains sub-sets which have matching circular logos which refer back to the round shape of the Lego dot on the bricks and boards. Those logos are repeated on each baseball card to help children match them up. Printed on 250gsm satin paper; stored in an old-fashioned metal lunchbox.

COOLWATER COVE

Identity, Marketing Materials & Signage

Australand's latest housing development, Coolwater Cove, is located in the city of Perth and required a brand identity as well as marketing materials and estate signage. The estate has been given a Martha's Vineyard flavour, mixing classic and modern typefaces, a soft oceanic palette and serene imagery to appeal to a more affluent demographic. Photographs have purposefully avoided the WA clichĂŠs of turquoise waters and white sandy beaches and focus on the marina aspect of Coolwater Cove. Marketing materials printed on 150GSM and 300GSM satin paper; Estate entrance sign carved into concrete render.
