New Commercial Office Building
NTS, in partnership with the University of Louisville Foundation, developed a class A++ office building known as 600 North Hurstbourne in Louisville, Kentucky. The LEED certified building is the first office building in ShelbyHurst Office Campus, which is expected to contain more than 1.5 million square feet of modern office space in multiple buildings once fully developed. The building opened in 2012 and current tenants include Churchill Downs Inc., Semonin Realtors, Stifel Nicolaus, NTS Development Company, BKD, LLP and A&R Logistics. 600 North Hurstbourne was designed to be “leading edge,” with a rounded, sleek, innovative look. The 4-story, 125,000 square foot building’s iconic, environmentally sensitive design combines state-of-the-art technology with natural materials that deliver a fresh and modern office atmosphere. The building features floor-to-ceiling glass to maximize natural light, high ceilings, high-speed fiber and a recycling center. It was built with recycled and renewable materials, water-saving fixtures, high performance envelope/glass and energy efficient systems and has received LEED certification for its energy and environmental efficiency. Due to the success of 600 North Hurstbourne, planning is underway for a second commercial office building that is expected to open in 2014.
Apartment Communities: The Grove Whitworth & The Grove Richland
The Grove Whitworth and The Grove Richland apartment homes are located near the intersection of I-440 and West End Avenue, approximately four miles west of the Central Business District and one mile west of Vanderbilt University. The Grove Whitworth was established in 1994 and The Grove Richland was built in 1998. Both communities offer luxuriously appointed one, two and three bedroom garden-style homes. The Grove Whitworth also offers three bedroom townhomes.
