Updated 07/01/2020 NASJRB Fort Worth Friends, As you all know, we are facing an extremely fluid situation with regard to our operations and the potential spread of COVID-19. In order to ensure the safety of our military and guests, MWR has implemented the closure of all facilities, except for CYP, at this time. There is not an anticipated reopening date; but, we will release it as soon as we have one. This information is subject to change at any time and updates will be released accordingly. We encourage you to continue to monitor www.navyMWRfortworth.com/COVID19 and our Facebook @NASFWMWR for the latest updates; please check both frequently for changes. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate opportunities to continuously serve you while remaining safe and vigilant in mitigating the spread of COVID-19. Navy MWR at Home – Stay Connected www.navymwr.org/navy-mwr-at-home MWR CLOSURES All MWR facilities & programs are currently closed, including: • TEN Grill • Liberty Lounge • Fitness Center • Library • Auto Skills • Community Recreation • TEN Bowling Center • TEN Bar • Aquatic Center • Lone Star • Movie Reel • Property Storage CDC & SAC RESTRICTIONS The Child and Youth Program is currently in CYP Operating Level 2. This means that all care is restricted to only those considered Mission Critical and cannot self-care for their child. Care must be authorized prior to attendance by providing additional paperwork. Care is only offered from 0700-1600 M-F. If you have questions about returning to care, contact the CDC at 817-782-7520. We will update you with additional guidance via Facebook and www.navyMWRfortworth.com/COVID19 as it becomes available. If you are a current patron in CYP, you should have received an email update. If you need to change your email information, please call during operating hours. MWR EVENTS All MWR events have been canceled until further notice with the exception of virtual events and curbside craft pick ups.

Navy MWR ESPORTS Overview Navy MWR ESPORTS is a Community Recreation initiative designed to provide entertainment and recreation opportunities through competitive sports. This multidimensional initiative will also increase programming opportunities at MWR Liberty Centers through technological improvements and provide top-quality esports competitions to the Navy community. Navy MWR will broadcast various esports and gaming content on the newly-established Navy MWR Twitch social media channel at www.twitch.tv/navymwr. What is Twitch? Twitch is an online social media site similar to YouTube that allows users to watch or broadcast live streaming or upload prerecorded video content. The videos focus on gameplay and other esports subjects. A Twitch broadcast often includes audio commentary from the player or commentators, and video coverage of the player might appear on the edge of the screen via their webcam. Navy SLOs Provide Seven Core Services to Assist Families: 1. School Transition Services (PCS Cycle) School Liaison Officers assist families with school transfers and help level the playing field for military children.
2. Deployment Support School Liaison Officers connect educators with Navy deployment support systems to inform them about the challenges of deployment and the tools which are available to assist educators when working with military children.
5. Home School Linkage and Support School Liaison Officers assist military families by providing info and resources pertaining to home schooling issues, policies, and legislation from local school districts, as well as assisting with support services for home school families. 6. Partnership in Education (PIE) School Liaison Officers help to coordinate volunteer efforts by creating networks and providing resources for installation and community members who have vested interest in the success of all youth. 7. Post-Secondary Preparations School Liaison Officers leverage installation and school resources by providing military students with access to post-secondary information, resources, and opportunities.

Special Education System Navigation School Liaison Officers offer support by providing access to information about resources and services, referring families to special education professionals, and navigating families through the administrative systems within the local education agencies. 4. Command, School, & Community Communication School Liaison Officers serve as subject matter experts for installation commanders on K-12 issues, as well as assisting to connect command, school, and community resources.
