MANNatee is our team’s vision for the redesigned Mann Café. Our improved spatial design aims to improve efficiency of both customer and staff paths of movement and created a welcoming atmosphere through the MANNatee brand concept - a happy manatee.

It needed renovation by being overcrowded with of customers at peak hours.

Facilities: 27 seats, 2 cashiers (1 central island), kitchen

User Research Process

Each of us observed the initial café space and its users for 2 hours for common problems

Each team member interviewed a customer (all students) to find specific problem spaces

All of us together interviewed the manager to find the main problems for staff members

We sent an online survey to then understand the general user experience
