ON THE COVER Nova Ice Boat Club (http://www.novaiceyachtclub.ca/) held their annual regatta at Walter's Cove, East LaHave,, with 13 club members battling for the championship. As many as 20 boats were in attendance. Iceboat members are distributed all over the province of Nova Scotia, some even come from Prince Edward Island. Ice conditions in this area of the world are great. We have a constant weather change from snow to rain and mild to cold which gives us exceptional ice. The province is littered with both large and small lakes, giving us a variety of sailing seasons.

About the Photographer I'm a native of Lunenburg County. I live in Middle Lahave and have been there for over 10 yrs. I grew up sailing on the Lahave River with my family on our schooner, "Cheers", and feel very connected to the Lahave River Valley. In general, I have a keen interest in Music and Art. I paint and also involved with amateur photography. I'm presently in the process of expanding my home studio to include framing activities and the production of large format Giclee prints. I like to explore the coastlines looking for interesting subjects and landscapes for inspiration.
