It is a 33-foot, open cockpit day sailer. The ‘one design’ principle was created to put competing yacht crews on equal footing. Chester yacht club has a fleet of these boats which are a very traditional rig for racing. The IOD design is about 75 years old (1936) although these boats are not that old. The little white boat in the background sailing is a "Star" class boat.

Having had a lifelong interest in music and art he has recently opened a home business, Gollywobbler Gallery, dealing in original photographs and art. In addition to visual art, Liam also likes to work with wood, carving halfmodels of boats. Growing up on the south shore and sailing on Schooners has given Liam a unique insight and respect of our martime heritage which he hopes to reflect in his exploration of photography and artwork.
