The Korean nation was supposedly born in the 3rd millennium BC, when the mythical King Dangun founded the Joseon (or Choson) dynasty, which is still the name of the country in North Korea (and the one used by China: Cháoxiǎn).
Korea is a peninsula surrounded by sea on three of its territorial limits, with a very mountainous topology with few flat surfaces, and a climate in which the four seasons of the year are clearly differentiated.
