Welcome to our Meditation and Mindfulness issue. I truly believe that meditation is one of the greatest all-encompassing treatments that exists in society today, which is why I wanted to devote an entire issue to it with benefits affecting our mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health not to mention the health of our society as a whole. That is also why I started the Meditate ’n May challenge last year which we will continue this year for the 2nd annual challenge. The idea behind the Meditate ’n May challenge was to get as many people as possible to meditate for just 10 minutes per day for 30 days so that they could begin, continue, or just become more consistent with their meditation journey. I wanted as many people as possible to feel the changes that can come about with just a few moments of meditation and then see the changes that can occur with regular meditation. almost right away is I am just calmer and more patient; and who doesn’t need more of that?! I know for myself as a mom and a business owner, I could never have enough. I had the pleasure of sitting down and speaking with Stephanie Osborne this month, and she pointed out something I thought said it all—that you begin to truly respond rather than react.
