• There are authentic ‘ride or die’ educators and adult allies that help youth become effective leaders.

Problem-posing education provides relevance and a connection to youths’ lives in order to cultivate communitybased leadership.
What type of leadership roles help empower youth in the community of Oakland? What are the factors in an urban classroom that allow students to build student leadership and change the flow of the classroom?

Findings People outside of the community who have power and/or privilege need to be allies with youth of color in order to seek transformative change. In order to create authentic based leadership in our communities we must create a sense of humble relationships.

Create honest and caring relationships between youth and elders in order to create leadership through cultural humility. Problem possessing education needs to be implemented in all school curriculum. ( students feed off teachers & teachers feed off students) .
We need more authentic ‘ride or die’ educators and adult allies that know how to develop youth to become effective leaders.
