I have known Dr- Matevosyan since |anuary, 2008. She recently cornpleted a postdoctoral fellowship at
the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation at Boston Universitywhere iam the birdctor of Services. During her fellowship here, she successfully completed an independent prospective study entitled, " Reproductive health in women wi*r serious mental illnisses: Client ind providui pu.rp".&ves,,, and conducted several health workshops on women's health issues for the paiticipants in our services division- Dr. Matevosyan was a respectful, empathetic and knowledgeable clinicianin these workshops. Her expertise and scholarship on women's health issues are often ignored in many mental health settings, yetwomen with mental illnesses need and want this information so they can mak-e informed health decisions. Women's health issues such as reproductive health, female.in.rrr, menopause and osteoporsis greatly affect the recovery and rehabilitation of women with mental illness. Our participants wele quite appreciative of the opportunity to learn from Dr Matevosyan and were grateful foi her willingness to help them improve their health as a foundation for thiir recovery. Dr' Matevosyan is a very brightwoman and an extremely hard worker.
