NAHAR Orphan Project Statistics show there are more than 40,000 orphans now living in the Rohingya camps with no possessions, basic needs and educational facilities. Day by day, the glimpse of a once bright future is getting darker for these children. NAHAR, under its orphan sponsorship program, was able to sponsor 3,584 orphans in the past year and also provided education materials to 1,000 children.

We are now currently working at Balukhali camp, located in Kutupalong, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. Presently, there are 10,000 Rohingya living there and among them 1,700 are orphans. We have organized regular health screenings to establish efficient patient care and provide necessary medications. Physicians from nearby Chittagong Medical College and Cox’s Medical Collage were employed for these health camps.

NAHAR is providing continuous support to the Rohingya orphans including Educational materials and support, food, medicine, toys and other basic necessities

NAHAR also developed a partnership with an international institution, the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed-CRP. Through this institution, NAHAR provided rehabilitation services for the disabled Rohingya. CRP has an skilled Aeusthetic-prosthetic team that creaste the artificial limbs for those who need it in order to ensure a normal life. With our partnership, we were also able to also provide physio and Occupational therapeutic services.

NAHAR Has supported 556 Rihingya Patients through this initiative


NAHAR Educational supplies & Toys

NAHAR is also supporting five Mosque-based Quran learning programs and five pre-primary based schools inside the Rohingya refugee camp. 2,500 Children Received Educational Materials, Educational support and Toys through this initiative


NAHAR Emergency Relief Project Violence in Rakhine State began on August 25, 2017 and has now driven an estimated 1.5 million Rohingya across the border into Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The refugees who have arrived in Bangladesh are now reliant on humanitarian assistance for food, water, sanitary and medical needs along with other essential necessities. The Rohingya population in Cox’s Bazar is highly vulnerable, having fled conflict and experienced severe trauma, and now live in extremely difficult conditions.

12,500 Rohingya People Received Emergency Relief including dryfoods, Winter clothes, Terpal Plastik and water supply through this initiative.


NAHAR Other Regular Initiatives

Additionally, NAHAR established water and sanitation systems in the Rohingya camp. During Ramadan, NAHAR also distributed Ifter, Eid gifts and special food packages. NAHAR also distribute Qurbani meat in the Rohingya camp. 23,500 Rohingya refugee

received healthcare services and medicine for mothers, children and elderly.
