ACAUT Wokha unit informs DIMAPUR: ACAUT Wokha unit along with the Yikhum village GBs and VDB members held an emergency meeting today on June 9, to deliberate on the issue of a summon made upon the Yikhum village GBs and VDB members by ‘major’ Y. N. Lotha; NSCN (IM) Wokha town commander cum ZCO Wokha through a telephonic conversation. ACAUT Wokha unit through its media cell informed that the house observed that ‘major’ Y. N. Lotha had summoned the Yikhum village GBs and VDB members at the Thungbo brigade Totsu without any clear reason or any written letter. It stated that the house decided that the Yikhum village leaders shall not be allowed to go to the place where they have been called as there was no detailed reason, while also ACAUT Wokha unit also called for a meeting of all the Lotha frontal organizations, all the Gaon Buras (village & towns), Wokha district VBD Association and all the VDB from all the blocks on June 11, 10 a.m at the Lotha tribal council hall to reaffirm on the Naga public resolution of “One Government One taxation” held on October 31 rally. Further the ACAUT Wokha unit also impressed upon all HoDs to submit to the office of the ACAUT Wokha unit at the earliest time possible the demand letters served to them by any individuals or NPGs.

T.Imkonglemba Ao IAS who is the agriculture production commissioner & commissioner & secretary agriculture gave power point presentation on review of RKVY programme in the state. The review included points to be considered by SLSC and action plan of RKVY submitted by each line departments. Detailed discussion was held on the action plan with views and comments from the chairman and ministry representative. All concern departments gave clarifications by giving justifications for each project that are proposed during 2016-17. All action plan proposed for the year was accordingly approved with necessary correction as per ministry division’s comments. This was followed by release of books prepared by agriculture department as follows: State Agriculture Plan (SAP) was released by Amitabh Gautam, State Extension Work Plan (SEWP) of ATMA for 2016-17 was released by Pankaj Kumar, ATMA Success stories was released by V.Kezo OSD (Gen & Bud) Finance.

DPDB meetings held at Kiphire and Wka DIMAPUR: Monthly meeting of Kiphire District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held at deputy commissioner conference hall, on June 8 under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner & vice chairman DPDB Kiphire, Sedevikho Khro. According to DIPR report the chairman welcomed all the members present including new member E.E. Roads & Bridges, Kisheto Sema and also introduced himself to the members as this was his first DPDB meeting in Kiphire. Noting that most of the officers are based either at Dimapur or Kohima, the chairman stated that the members could not be totally expected to be in the station throughout the month, but as responsible officer of the district, he advised the members to be present at least for 50% of the working days. After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board discussed on registration of Kiphire Tuensang Sumi Students Union and has decided to recommend to the government for necessary action.

MCCI clarifies DIMAPUR: Mon Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) which had constituted a fact finding committee led by Wangkai Konyak as chairman has amicably solved the dispute between two parties at a meeting held on June 8 at its head office. A press note by chairman Wangkai Konyak, secretary Chaunyei Konyak and members Langnyam and Mannong Konyak stated that both party complainants and executives agreed upon the following point laid by the fact finding committee. DIMAPUR: Youth Wing Zeliang People Organisation (YWZPO) has clarified that Zeliang People Organisation (ZPO) under the leadership of Kiezin Zeliang and Kerang Domtta is the mandated public organisation of the Zeliang public in Peren district. A press note by YWZPO president, Bangau Nza stated that Zeliang People Organisation (ZPO) was comprised of the Zeme council and Liangmai council and approved by the chairmen of village council in Peren district under the aegis of village chairmen union (VCU) and any other organisation under the same nomenclature was self-styled and does not have the mandate of the public in Peren district. YWZPO also cautioned any government departments or officials dealing with any other unmandated organisation in the name ZPO would be doing so at their own risk and responsibility and Youth Wing, ZPO would initiate strict action accordingly.
