CouRt YARDS

Dr. Thareeq’s residence is more than just a beautiful house located in the outskirts of Perinthalmana with multiple courtyards and an area of 4200 sqft. The innovative design of this house incorporates existing trees into its courtyards, making it a perfect combination of nature and modern living.

One feature that stands out from Dr. Thareeq’s residence is its ability to boost conversation among residents and guests alike. With different spaces dedicated for various activities such as cooking,

dining, or relaxing in the family living room overlooking the scenic views.

By utilizing two levels and two floors, this house not only maximizes its living space but also takes advantage of the natural surroundings. The courtyard acts as an extension to both levels, providing ample opportunity for outdoorsy activities while still maintaining privacy from external factors.

The courtyard location of a house can play a sig-

nificant role in its overall design and functionality. In the case of this particular house, the uneven contour topography of the site has further emphasized the importance of creating a cohesive outdoor space that seamlessly blends with the interior.

The use of exposed brickwork adds texture and warmth to the space, while the incomplete cement plastering creates an unfinished and raw quality that adds a touch of industrial chic. The combination of these two elements creates a harmonious balance that is both visually striking and aesthetically pleasing.

The lighting in the cafe should be soft and warm, with fixtures that complement the overall design scheme. Soft and warm lighting cre -

ates a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee or a delicious meal.

Furniture should be kept simple and functional, with a focus on natural materials such as wood and metal. Decorative elements such as plants and artwork can add color and texture to the space, creating a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.
