Prasad & Sargam Seelam Project development
2021 - Present 3 Kumukumu Road Long Bay in Auckland, New Zealand State _ BC Set MICHAEL COOPER ARCHITECTS Lead Architect Michael Cooper
Prasad & Sargam Seelam is a 200sm residencial project. The house consists of: a dining/living room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a family room and a prayer room. The client wanted a simple house but with an elaborate facade, he wanted to be visible and stand out within the complex of the townhouses and high ceilings. This project was one of the first projects that I was commissioned to develop in NZ. My responsabilities included the development of the project, the delivery of the building consent, and all the documentation. I worked under the lead architect, he checked the work weekly before sending all the drawings to the clients for a final review.

2021 - Present 3 Pheasant Lane Waimauku in Auckland, New Zealand State _ BC Set MICHAEL COOPER ARCHITECTS Lead Architect Michael Cooper
I joined the project right after the design was finished and Michael Cooper, the lead architect, was finalizing some changes with the clients. I have worked with the lead architect since them. I have been responsible for the client’s day-today, project reports, and documentation delivery. I have tried to develop a routine in the project during the quarantine. I have morning meetings with the lead architect very useful, set targets and goals for the day. As well as weekly meetings with the clients. to keep them updated on the projects. Under the direction of a principal, I have dealt efficiently with many variations the client requested throughout the house.

Britanico / Santa Anita completed Project development and detailed design for the new building Britanico in Santa Anita.
2017 - 2019 Britanico Santa Anita in Lima, Peru State _ Completed REYNALDO LEDGARD ARCHITECTS Lead Architect Reynaldo Ledgard with Daniela Beraún Paola Nicolacci Roberto Villalobos
We obtained first place in the competition for the new building of Asociación Cultural Peruano - Britain (Britanico) in the district of Santa Anita in Lima, Peru. The required program consisted of 60 classrooms, a library, an auditorium, an art gallery, a cafeteria and a staff room. The main challenges of the project were working with a very compact site with no adjacent buildings. Currently, the project has been delivered to the client and is in use. The main strategy was to put all the public uses on the ground level and therefore fit the 60 classrooms, from the first to the fourth floor. The structural solution includes variations in the columns between the basements, the first floor and the upper levels to be able to solve the parking in 3 basement levels. The result is a very compact but efficient building.
The ground level was designed very transparent towards the outside, giving the street lighting, and setting a reference for future neighbors. The front of the land has a north-east orientation, so a diagonal sunshade facade (45 degrees) was designed, allowing light to enter through the north orientation. These parasols are made of red painted glass and transparent windows. The red painted pieces have an interior drywall so as not to let the light pass through these sections.

2017 - 2019 Colegio de Ingenieros del Peru / CIP in Lima, Peru State _ Completed REYNALDO LEDGARD ARCHITECTS Lead Architect Reynaldo Ledgard with Daniela Beraún Paola Nicolacci Roberto Villalobos
The property of the College of Engineers Departmental Council Lima faces the street on three sides and is located in the district of San Isidro, Lima. The project has been developed independently, without connection with the existing buildings. The project “Office Building, Parking and Auditorium of the College of Engineers of Peru - Lima Departmental Council”, has two sections. In one there is an auditorium and in the other a four-story office building. It also has four basement levels that make up a unified parking lot, which allows for a single entry and exit. The auditorium has pedestrian access from the street, including an elevator for the disabled, through an open plaza. It has a total capacity of 803 people, and has a ground level and mezzanine. The office building has access from the main
avenue, and from a double-height roofed square that visually expands the space, as well as the entrance hall of the office building. All levels have rental offices for architectural and engineering uses. The total built area is 13,764.33 m2.

To meet local planning laws the proposed new building is integrated to the completed project (auditorium and offices). The new building consists of 4 floors and 4 basement levels for use as the Institutional Headquarters Professional College with their respective parking lots. The parking lots of both buildings are connected at all levels. The historical entrance of the College of Engineers has been preserved in its current location but it has not been considered for the calculation of evacuation as it will be used only in ceremonial events. The connection between the built project and the new building occurs only occasionally because each building has its own evacuation route.

Swimming pool / CSIR under construction In charge of the swimming pool project of the new campus for San ignacio de Recalde’s school
2018 - 2019 San Ignacio de Recalde’s school / CSIR in Lima, Peru State _ Under construction REYNALDO LEDGARD ARCHITECTS Lead Architect Reynaldo Ledgard with Paola Nicolacci
San Ignacio de Recalde School has a building in the district of Huachipa. In this place are the recreational programs of the school such as workshops, gym, orchards, among others. As part of its growth, the design of a semi-olympic pool that had 6 regulatory lanes, dressing rooms, bathrooms, cafeteria and a gallery for competitions was requested. A pool was designed on a single level with a depth of 1.5 meters, with the dressing rooms on a lower middle level, the bathrooms on an intermediate level and the stands and cafeterias on a higher level. The transparent roof was raised and an opening system was designed, since the pool is heated in winter but in summer it can be opened to take advantage of the favorable climate. The project is currently under construction with delivery date in March 2020.

Centro Emergencia Mujer / CEM project delivered Design team leader: oversaw the development, execution of project plans
2018 Ministry of the Interior in Lima, Peru State _ Project Delivered
The Emergency Centers for Women (CEM) in Police stations are services provided jointly and articulated between the CEM and the police unit in the same physical space, for the integral attention of cases of violence against women, family group members and sexual violence . In this way, the victim or complainant may submit their complaint and access legal, psychological and social advice in one place. The Ministry of the Interior (MININTER), the National Police of Peru (PNP) and the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP) signed an agreement that approved the installation of CEM in Police Stations. For this purpose, the MININTER has adequate physical spaces in the police offices for the establishment of CEMs in those places with a high incidence of femicide and attempt of femicide.
Currently, there are more than 70 CEMs in police stations nationwide and it was planned to reach 100 by the end of the 2019. This will fulfill the commitment of the current government management in the eradication of violence against women and vulnerable groups. Several prototypes were design which could then be adapted to suit the conditions of each police station.

It was necessary to know if the soil could withstand the load because the majority of police stations are in jungle and mountain areas, and are precarious. The area couldn’t be bigger than 30m2. Within the given program, a social assistance office, a legal area office, a psychology area and a promotion and coordination office were required. The prototypes had various modifications according to the chosen area.
