WHO ARE WE? Nezar Al-Anjari Consulting Bureau (NAB) was founded in 1996 and is incorporated and professionally registered to Kuwait Municipality under the law of the State of Kuwait. Our main focuses are architecture, engineering, urban design and infrastructure, planning, landscape, interior design, and project management. Over the years, our diverse and talented team has grown to reach over 150 members, and is continuing to grow more and more as the work scope of the firm expands. Today, we are proudly one of the largest and most capable firms in Kuwait. Members bring together extensive experience and advanced architecture, design, and engineering skills for rapid and economic solutions to design problems. Members are highly qualified and registered to both local and international professional engineering bodies. NAB is dedicated to the provision of consulting expertise, improvement methodology, engineering design services, site supervision and construction management. NAB has, since 1996, helped develop and advance the building industry in Kuwait. NAB is also on the list of approved consultants constantly working alongside the Kuwait Municipality and the Ministry of Public Works. NAB’s philosophy for success is to develop a clear understanding and complete trust with the owner and client, while working and creating innovative solutions with the designer and engineer in all aspects of the project. The scope of projects undertaken has been very broad, ranging from small and simple ventures for which personal relationships are needed to ensure success, to large or complex enterprises requiring comprehensive overall control and management. This target needed careful planning from top management over the years to achieve. It meant that we were required to work hard to deliver creative and quality designs in architecture as well as all the required engineering aspects. WHAT DO WE DO? Architectural Design NAB provides comprehensive architectural services to the client, and covers all fields of design with programs such as housing complexes, commercial towers, hotels, residences, shopping malls, and more. Studying site location & taking into account building codes for the region is required work at any architectural design firm, to ensure professional work and efficient designs. Our architectural design department aims to create and carry out the latest architectural designs in multiple programs and design opportunities made available, and enhance those designs with state-of-the-art building materials. This constant push and work towards a further goal makes us the perfect choice for all your architectural needs. Engineering Design NAB was successfully able to make visible progress during the past several years in the provision of engineering and structure, which are departments that are highly qualified under the bureau’s umbrella. Working as a team, the structural and architectural departments fulfill all requirements of architectural design and construction and provide excellent construction services with high degrees of comfort and safety. Teams also work alongside the mechanical and electrical departments, plumbing, and fire safety to provide for all kinds of villas and buildings, residential complexes, and high rise buildings. Structural Design Our dedicated team designs structural systems to suit the different types of projects, and tend to work according to the architectural designs without any obstructions or errors in the aesthetic of the project. We believe structural design should be harmonious and a poetical design system.

Landscape Design Landscape design and landscaping is imperative to all aspects of architecture, and provides many uses such as aesthetics, passive cooling and shading, environmental awareness, and more. We provide landscape designs and tend to work alongside the building design to beautify the surrounding areas of the project. Interior Design Our latest addition to the team includes members of out interior design department. We provide services according to the taste and spacial ideas of the client with a simple intellectual conversation, where the client explains their needs and the interior designer responds, providing design ideas and interior views and visualizations. Access to modern materials, furniture from abroad, constant new and current issues of Italian and European furniture and interior catalogs allows us to really meet the client’s needs and provide them with the ultimate experience. SHARQ TOWER
Sharq Residential Tower is a high capacity apartment tower situated on the Gulf Road overlooking the ocean and close to the very respected Amiri Hospital and many shopping areas such as Kuwait City, Sharq Market, and many restaurants and entertainment. Main design features include a fully glazed facade as well as small lightwells in the back used to illluminate the service areas like stairs and corridors. The building also provides commercial and retail activity on the ground floor. Status: Complete Location: Kuwait City

Ghazwa Residential Tower’s design focuses on the lifestyle of the residents. The drop off and pick up lobby/entrance is convenient and quick and easy, keeping up with the fast paced nature of city life. The rooftop pool is situated to face the ocean with amazing views as are the apartments and the lobby area. The main design feature allows maximum unobstructed views of the ocean and the city, as well as maximum amounts of natural light and sun exposure. Status: Complete Location: Bneid Al Gar

The beautiful Ocean View Residential Tower focuses on resident lifestyles. The large windows allow for natural light and ventilation to enter the apartments and common spaces in the building. The residences at Sea Terrace boast privacy and exclusivity to all its residents. Located by the water, each unit offers panoramic views of the ocean with private balconies and unobstructed views. The building also contains underground parking, fitness and community amenities, as well as beautiful landscaping and a luxury drop off/pick up location. Salmiya apartment tower aims to create a unique beachfront property with unobstructed views of the sea. The design aims to create spacious apartments with intense natural lighting and ventilation. The design process includes creating a landmark for the city, due to the property location in Ras Al Salmiya, as well as creating a noticable facade from a distance. The ground floor consists of retail and commercial, while higher floors comprise the apartments, gardens, health club, and more. Status: Under Design Location: Salmiya

OLYMPIA SHOPPING CENTER* Olympia is a unique development in Kuwait as it is the first of its kind in the region. It embodies a carefully presented combination of mixed use programs including retail, hospitality, and office spaces with a new and refreshing change to the norm. With a total built up area of (130,000 m2), the development will be broken down into the following well balanced components: One High Rise Business Tower One High Rise Apartment Tower 5 Star Hotels Commercial Mall with recreational and leisure activities Car Park Landscape To connect to the existing fabric of the site and the city, the project will be linked to the Landmark National Scientific Center via a state of the art pedestrian foot bridge. WATERFALLS SHOPPING CENTER
The main architectural highlight in the Waterfalls Shopping Center is the waterfall, part of the impressive color changing façade. The facade looks towards the main street, inviting guests into a cool environment to escape the summer heat. One of the main attraction points of the building, as mentioned, is the water feature - a waterfall runs on the outer side of the curved glass atrium which gives a different effect on the interior than it does on the outside. The indoor panoramic elevator also features water elements running on the sides, and falling into both a pond and water channels throughout the flooring of the atrium. Waterfalls Mall is Kuwait’s premier full LED lighted shopping center, and its design is imperative to its success as a retail facility. Located in Hawalli, it is easily accessible via major highways and in a bustling city of its own. Status: Complete Location: Hawalli

DANA RESORT COMMERCIAL CENTER
Dana Resort in Coastal Kuwait needed a new commercial center for guests to enjoy after a long day at the beach or by the pool. The center features many restaurants, cafes, and shops with bustling nighttime activities and entertainment. The design optimizes the space by allowing each building to be accessible by vehicular activity (the street) as well as pedestrians from inside the resort area. This location in the heart of the city is optimal for the program, since it is hard for children to find a place to have fun, play, and exercise in a safe environment. The space offers room for kids to play and enjoy their surroundings in a cool controlled environment. This beachfront hotel in Kuwait’s coastal city of Fahaheel combines the relaxed beach atmosphere with luxury amenities and resort activities. The hotel features breathtaking beach views from all guest rooms and embodies the ocean in its wavelike facade design. The beach is only steps away and easily accessible from the interior spaces. The main facade emulates the movement and activity of the waves, allowing the architecture to respond and reflect the natural environment of the site. Status: Under Construction Location: Fahaheel

Abu Halifa Hotel embodies the ultimate hotel experience. The main facade is curved glazing to allow maximum sun and light exposure as well as provide panoramic views to the city. The design for this hotel incorporates modern luxury and amazing views. The main entry is welcoming and invites visitors from the main street and shaded drop off area. The facade is mostly glazing to allow for natural light to enter guest rooms and brighten the spaces on the interior. This also allows all the rooms to have panoramic views of the surrounding areas. The center of the building provides a garden terrace and green roof system, and the highest point acts as a marker to highlight this beach city’s skyline. The project is a hotel club addition towards the seaside facade. The expansion adds a private member’s club including a pool, gymnasium, outdoor space, and parking areas. The Copthorne Millennium Hotel is part of our masterplan for Slayel Al Jahra project in Al Jahra, Kuwait. The project is a resort style community with a luxury hotel, chalets, super market, shopping area, cafes, restaurants and more. The site is secluded to allow for maximum privacy and relaxation during the weekend, with the chalets being 2 bedrooms with a large living room and outdoor balcony. The current hotel is undergoing a major renovation and expansion and is currently under the design phase. Status: Complete Location: Al Jahra

The AUM Building is the “heart” of the university campus as it houses many major components of AUM including the AUM Library, E-Library, Student Affairs and Counseling Department, Student Activities Center, student clubs and societies, and the food court. Faculty offices are located on the first and second floors and most leisure/extracurricular components - including the food court and student societies - are located in the basement, which opens out to the outdoor Roman theater. The impact of the AUM Building’s structure is two-fold: the building offers a calm, quiet environment suitable for research and studies, and provides a dynamic and positive setting for both intellectual stimulation and student activities. Sports are a major aspect of schools and education; therefore, this design for a sporting hall is beneficial in creating a fun and safe space for students to explore and play. This clinic in Shaab is unique in its design. The facade and elevation is the focal point, as each group of floors is facing a different angle. Due to its location in Shaab right by the ocean, this enables the building to have panoramic views of the beautiful Gulf. The organic aesthetic of the facade continues to the inside of the building, as shown in the renderings and interior details of the plan and ceiling. Al Omooma hospital is one of the largest and most capable pregnancy and childbirth hospitals in Kuwait. The founders of Al Omooma Hospital had a dream to deliver world class health services for women in Kuwait that would truly respect the patient by providing information, services, facilities and international expertise. In 2009, Al Omooma Hospital opened its doors. “Al Omooma” means Care of the Child and Motherhood. The hospital motto is “Know the meaning of motherhood!” The new hospital is a specialized Maternity and Paediatric Hospital that offers a comprehensive range of services through an integrated continuum of clinical care. The new HQ for the Kuwait Fire Brigade is a modern design in the heart of Kuwait City. Its aesthetics follow their function of flow and circulation, as they make their way swiftly all over the city responding to emergency situations. The building is efficient and has a sleek modern design, allowing easy access and quick departures when needed. The new Awqaf Family Development Center was designed to relate back to Kuwaiti Culture as well as Islamic patterns and values. The building features 2 levels of underground parking, a large atrium that allows natural light and ventilation, as well as a glazed facade. The center is a public space for families and children to learn, share experiences, and be cultured. The top floors include offices, meeting spaces, lobbies, and more. The KDD (Kuwait Danish Dairy Company) Factory located in Subhan is a versatile large scale production and distribution factory. The space features large rooms for work to be done and a simple yet sophisticated exterior with easy pick up and drop off locations for large transport vehicles. Aston Martin one of the oldest and most eminent sports cars has a long history starting from as early as 1914 with the very beginning of the company. For an office and showroom space, natural lighting is most important to be able to view the products naturally and also work efficiently and productively. One of the most reliable car dealerships in Kuwait and highly appreciated and respected deserves a facility that reflects their policy and professionalism. The Toyota Showroom is simple yet works as a display space for vehicles, allowing natural lighting and ventilation to create a space that is comfortable for both the clients and the vehicles while also embracing the company branding on its facade. Iveco is a world leading truck and van manufacturer, with a full range of models engineered to be performing with any climate, cargo and mission, and suitable to any transport applications. That’s why the Iveco range for Africa and Middle East has been engineered and properly fitted to perform at best in the market, adapting to the local context where working conditions are very demanding and climate can become extreme. The showroom design displays the vehicles and allows the customer to be comfortable in the space that is well illuminated and ventilated. Status: Complete Location: Al Rai

This factory is located in Shuaiba, completed in 2007, and is a flexible and open plan space allowing maximum utilization of the building. Cold storage facilities are essential in ensuring the freshness of products and supplies. This large scale factory and storage space does just that and is efficient in its design and function. This greenhouse was designed and developed for Beit Al Enmaa agricuiltural firm. The firm works closely with plantlife, natural elements, as well as animals and needed a space for growing plants in a controlled environment. The design allows the most natural light needed to maintain animal and plant growth and development, as well as a smooth circulation path for workers and visitors. Status: Tendering Location: Kuwait

Apart from campus masterplanning and building locations, special attention has been paid to ensure that all disability parking spots are located within the shortest possible distance from entrances to campus buildings. Apart from the building’s main entrance, there are numerous smaller entrances spread throughout the structure to facilitate the smooth flow of students in and out of the building. The Vehicle Inspection Center is imperative in the safety of roads and infrastructure. The center is designed around vehicle circulation and inspection zones, to allow for easy vehicular access as well as safe procedures that each vehicle has to go through. The center is able to inspect and accommodate cars, trucks, and larger vehicles and was designed to accomodate larger motors. TEFASEEL EXHIBITION
We participated in The Tefaseel Exhibition, hosted by AIAS Kuwait, in Al Hamra Tower, which took place during the week of March 2nd - March 4th. Our installation is a take on this year’s theme of kinetics. We allow the audience to interact with it however they prefer to. The installation is a form of Anamorphic Typography. Anamorphic Typography invites viewers to immerse themselves within type. Using the process of anamorphosis, designs only become legible from one point of view that each viewer has to find on their own. Status: Complete Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait

GENERAL MANAGER Nezar Abdulrazzak Al-Anjari is the founder and general manager of NAB. He is a registered architect with a strong background knowledge in architectural design, planning, and local regulations. Arch. Nezar received his Bachelor Degree from Iowa State University (USA) in 1985 then returned to Kuwait to join the Architectural Planning Department of Kuwait Municipality as a Project Manager for many projects in the department. In 1996, Arch. Nezar established the firm, named Nezar Al-Anjari Consulting Bureau (NAB), to provide full consultancy services in all engineering fields including architectural design, interior, and planning. Arch. Nezar is known for his dedication and constant efforts in his work and way of life. He is known as a bright decision maker with the ability to secure both control and accountability. Today, we are glad to see the firm, with over 150 employees, has designed and supervised many of Kuwait’s landmark project. TECHNICAL MANAGER Tarek Safwat Zen Al-Abedeen is NAB’s Technical Manager and a registered professional Architect with over 30 years of successful experience. He graduated from Al-Zagazig University (Egypt) in 1985 with Bachelor Degree in Architectural Design. This experience initially started in Egypt where he spent 7 years working as a designer and construction supervisor. In 1992, Eng. Tarek made a remarkable shift to Kuwait. He joined Kuwait Municipality in 1994 and worked at the Planning Department for more than 6 years. Maintaining his rank as Municipality Offices, Eng. Tarek, jointly with Arch. Nezar Al-Anjari, established Nezar Al-Anjari Consulting Bueau in 1996 holding, to-date, the Technical Manager Position. Today, Engineer Tarek is around the clock Technical Manager of the Consulting Bureau (NAB), ensuring internal controls are established and functioning to achieve the mission and objectives of office. He is also responsible for determining task assignments for Heads of Departments and Projects Managers, and enforcing quality standards. Eng Tarek is well known for his superior and close monitoring to work progress and excellent communication style.
