The National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA), a 501(c)(6), was established in March,1997. Founder: Jerald L.Tillman, LUTCF, Cincinnati, OH. NAAIA is dedicated to advancing Diversity & Inclusion in the Insurance Industry and increasing the numbers of African American Insurance professionals. Critical success factors include providing member value and programming that supports career and business development excellence. NAAIA's footprint is evident in each major region of the country. As the lifeblood of the organization, local Chapters across the US are charged with executing plans and programs which support the ultimate success of the organization. o Open to any and all insurance professionals o Open to those employed in businesses which support the insurance industry

o Member demographics are the most diverse of any industry organization. The member base includes CEOs, senior executives and career professionals representing carriers, agencies, brokers, wholesalers from across the country. Membership diversity is further defined by the the fact that all disciplines i.e., Underwriting, Risk Management, Claims, Risk Control, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Technology, etc., o NAAIA's member diversity is also reflected via the various industry sectors i.e., Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Surplus Lines, Financial Services, Employee Benefits, etc.
